Wednesday's are pretty much collapsed anyway. This would save Monday's for them. They could burnoff October Road on Wednesdays at 9.
I like this idea of switching October Road and Wife Swap. I think they would both be more successful switching to a different night and time.

Trust me, this is not a part of the country that cares enough about this for shows like this to be overly successful. It took probably 10 years for our market to get Entertainment Tonight as a 6:30 piece on the schedule (for those of you in eastern and pacific times- that's the prime slot for syndicated stuff central time- Wheel of Fortune dominates this slot in almost every market). ET started out actually at 4:30 while Seinfeld at the time aired at 6:30 on the CBS affiliate which was just getting into the local news business at the time. I did end up checking and TMZ has been moved to 12:30am so that explains how well it was doing.

Marc's webcast this week indicated that TMZ is doing really well.

Price is Right can work in primetime once in awhile. If it were in primetime every week, I think it would lose its appeal. As it is, the occasional visit gives people a little dose of nostalgia. ABC could probably do the same with Who Wants to be a Millionaire at this point; especially if they made the prize really big so people mindlessly watched the same show thinking that it is now more exciting because the prize is bigger.
I have said for a long time that they should bring back Millioinaire. The should would do well in the right time slot. Just stay away from the horrible celebrity editions and everything will work fine. They should bring Millionaire back to Sunday nights at 8 or 9, and also Tuesdays at 9. The show could easily do 9-10 million, which is far better than the repeats on Sunday's and the garbage on Tuesdays.

If you compare ABC Wednesdays this Janaury to last year (and granted this is before things really collapsed) you'll see double digit year to year gains. I do agree that Monday slot would've worked well but it would literally turn Wednsdays into the new Tuesday or maybe even worse without a single show hitting a 2.0 in the demo.
not necessarily, he got kicked off on an embarrassing one he answered yes to and it was false.

"Medium" will have six episodes left when it returns.
"Friday Night Lights" has three left, and they will be exhausted by February 8th.
"Las Vegas" has five episodes remaining and there are nine new "Law & Orders" remaining.
(For the record, six "Quarterlifes" are in the bank, and scheduled to begin on NBC February 18, and there are four (unscheduled) episodes of "Scrubs" lying on a shelf slmewhere.
NBC scheduled Quarterlife for Mondays at 9PM. I wonder if they will change their mind being that DOND is getting over 15 million in that slot.

Right now Sundays are okay with Home Edition holding the fort. Its Tuesday and Wednesday and maybe even Thursday that could use the pick me up that Millionaire could give. Tuesday and Wednesday at 9 would be huge imo for both nights. That would allow for the dreamy Monday lineup of Dance Wars, Supernanny, and Wife Swap.

I bet we see it perhaps on Thursdays at 8 or maybe on Fridays since the Friday shows will soon be exhausted.
As opposed to scripted which we know will probably fail!

That is the one thing I hate about non-scripted programs. They are SO HARD to predict.

Are there already plans to take this beyond the movie on February 17? I admit that American Gladiators has become a guilty pleasure, but can't NBC figure out a way to rebuild market share beyond rebooting decades-old franchises like Bionic Woman and Knight Rider? What's next, Gimme a Break with Queen Latifah and Facts of Life: The Next Generation?

I think Knight Rider was made as a backdoor pilot, meaning if it does well it will definitely be back as a series. And I think it will do well. With a 2 hour American Gladiators leading into it and with no competition due to the strike it should do well.
Originally posted by SW: With another game show (1 vs 100) already in the 8 pm slot, would it not make more sense to air TPiR at 9 pm, when HUT levels are higher anyway?
I think the Drama-gameshow-drama set up would be a bad flow for the night on CBS.
Placing TPiR at 8pm allows the other two show to have a nice flow for the remainder of the evening.
I agree. I'll add in that CBS is probably making an intentional attempt to permanently damage 1vs.100 viewership with their temporary Price is Right timing. The goal is simply to get viewers used to sitting on CBS all night, so they are trying to put a gameshow on that will draw viewers away from 1vs.100.
According to The Futon Critic, 1 vs 100 will have aired its last episode by the time Price is Right comes on Feb. 22. NBC will actually be debuting a new game show on that same night called Amnesia, hosted by Dennis Miller. Friday Night Lights and Las Vegas will also end their season the week before, and NBC will be airing 2 hour Datelines from 9-11.
I think some of those Price Is Right Specials had a theme. I recall some military based ones. I think that kind of patriotic hook helps prime time specials and could help a "special run" Millionaire

I guess not everyone thinks 2 1/2 men is awful since it is America's number one comedy.
As for TBS Hi-Def on the show, it's commonly known as "Stretch-o-vision" among the Hi-Def aficionados. It's nothing more than a stretched out version of the original pic. (Everybody Loves Raymond was actually broadcast in Hi-def and they still rebroadcast in stretch-o-vision.)

Actually I just checked Futon Critic, and it shows Quarterlife coming on Sundays at 9 starting March 2nd, so I guess they already changed their mind.
