Since it looks like Marc is away today, I thought I'd get this thread underway just to get some discussion started

Considering CBS didn't do a lot of promos for BB- I think it did pretty well (anyone have the total viewer #'s?) I actually like a majority of this cast- and not having a previous relationship twist is extremely refreshing...
I don't know, I saw a lot of promos for BB. After every CBS show there was something.
As for the numbers, they are average. 2.1 isn't good for a show whose strengths are in the demos. The total viewers looks to be around 6 million (zap2it is reporting a 4.2/8), which is very low for a premiere. The winter edition did nothing to help the numbers, nor did the fact that people are getting tired of watching people do nothing in a house.
On a slightly related note, Big Brother, which is (or WAS) huge in Australia, got cancelled permanently this season just today. It was also in its 10th cycle. Perhaps CBS should consider doing the same now...
I read that. Wouldn't be a bad idea to at least put BB on hiatus or move it to CW. CW would love a 6 million viewer show. The winter edition did horrible in the ratings and the summer edition didn't start with a bang even with very limited competition.

The CW has enough crap of its own. It doesn't need a new bag of crap from CBS. Big flaming bag of crap.
