Her return made for a good storyline and also allowed the show to give a 'nod' to a bunch of other former cast members as two of the characters 'caught up' exchanging info on their old friends. I don't know if Gloria Ruben is expected in more than one episode, but it certainly seemed set up for a multi-episode story arc. With the writer's strike, the 'rest of the story' may not get to be told unless they squeeze it in to the remaining two new episodes.

Wow Marc, never thought I'd see you back on The Apprentice bandwagon! I saw it and liked it. Before this started, I had picked Marilu Henner to go all the way and now that I've seen her in action, I feel on target with this call.

The "celebrities" using their contacts is going to add an interesting facet to this edition. Excellent episode!

First time post, long time lurker. This result for Law & Order made me smile. I've been watching L&O since I was about 19 and am now 36, if these ratings keep up L&O should not be cancelled anytime soon.

quote:
Leading out of Deal or No Deal was the season-premiere of NBC’s Law & Order at a solid 13.44 million viewers (#1) and a second-place 3.8/10 among adults 18-49 from 9-11 p.m. One year earlier, Law & Order opened the season with 11.07 million viewers and a 3.6/11 in the demo on Friday, Sept. 22, 2006. Comparatively, this was an increase of 2.37 million viewers and six percent among adults 18-49. Congratulations, Dick Wolf…you may actually outlast Gunsmoke after all!

PS. I live in Australia. I visit this great site to see if the shows I like will stay on air over there in USA.

PSS. Marc, thanks for creating this place I can see how the shows from over there are rating and if it worth checking out something new.

I saw "Deal", but not the other show (sorry, I can't stand Trump.) At first, I thought it was an act, but it looked like she got hosed. The producers are the ones who should be held accountable for breaking her piggy bank. They should invite her back.

Anyone think "the banker" is an NBC Universal exec keeping the writers out of work? Big Grin
