I agree. I think CBS overestimated the power of their reruns. When AI comes back in two weeks, CBS Tuesday and Wednesday will be invisible.
Power of 10 had no chance up against Deal or No Deal.

Will it be airing multiple times a week the way DEAL or NO DEAL is "stripped" by NBC?

IDK, FOX will probably win tonight with the Orange Bowl. NBC will be better on Friday and dominate with the NFL of Saturday. It might come down to who does better on Sunday. What does NBC have this Sunday?

does that make TAYLORJNG the Anti-Vlis ?????
He would only truly be the anti-vlis if he managed a negative skew of an ABC show that grew in viewers and demo (well, any ABC show except for Boston legal) .
I watched Leno last night. Had he not spent the first 5 minutes talking about the writer's strike, I would have never known the difference.

For one night at least, viewers were more interested in seeing how the late-night shows without writers coped than the programs where writers were working. Jay Leno's "Tonight" show on NBC scored a 5.3 rating and 12 audience share in the nation's 55 largest markets.

I'm starting to think this way too. It has been a strong week of premieres for NBC.
So then, you were completely aware that it grew in both viewers AND demo, yet you managed to put a negative spin on it as 'skewing older'.
Like I said before, it's fine given NBC's current fortunes.
But, it did skew older than last year. Most of that viewer growth came from viewers outside of the demo, not from inside.
I'm not saying the demo is the be all that ends all, but it is to advertisers. I was just pointing out something that I thought was interesting, no need for you to be annoyed.

People probably tuned in to see the 'crash and burn' potential, but leno outrates Letterman all the time anyway, so last night's ratings should be no surprise. It is bad news for the writers though, as it will get all the latenight talkshows understanding that people would rather watch audience interaction (ala Oprah and Jerry Springer) than written monologs of 'topical' humor.
I do wonder how many Stars Leno will get to cross the picket line and come on his show? Many have vowed not to cross the lines during the strike.

How do you know the "extra" viewers are OLDER.
They could have gotten a nice influx of High Schoolers watching last night, thus having it skew... younger.

But what gets hurt more by AI, the CBS repeats or sometimes weak original content on the other nets? I would think shows like Super Nanny would take a bigger hit relative to this week once AI premiers.
I agree with that. Perhaps a small run on Thursdays at 8pm would help out P10.
