Keep bashing pisher but I'll stick to my belief that Castle will make season three.
Ah, I see--if it gets renewed twice, having started as midseason replacement, you're vindicated. Well, guess what? Veronica Mars got renewed twice, and ran three full seasons. Oh yeah, I'm still smarting over my failed crusade against that classic hit.

It will be at that point and likely on Tuesday or Friday nights that Castle will have to prove itself.
Meaning it hasn't yet. Thanks for agreeing with me.

Statistics are against it succeeding and frankly, I'm okay with that.
I know, you only care about it because I hate it. I have that kind of power over you.
This has nothing to do with Veronica Mars.
You have been claiming it won't make a third season. Again, you are not agreeing with me.
I could give a rats ass what you do or don't like. I chose a show based on how well entertained I am about it. I despised VM with you when those fans were being delusional about how it was in such a good position to stay on the CW. CW had enough programs at that time that it didn't need VM. It was wasting a time slot. Castle on the other hand is on a network with holes on at least 3 nights. Its stable and not dropping so it stands a good chance at staying around.
Originally posted by mushu_jj: Castle: steady as the overrun from Dancing will basically end in the same rating as always for the actual program. Very happy to see it stable and very happy to see Pisher having to jump to the personal attacks to try to win arguments. Slowly but surely its eating him alive.
Jay Leno: This show simply needs new writers and a revert back to the old Tonight Show format. Conan certainly isn't following it so there shouldn't be any problems with that. Add new segments to the end of the show to try to keep the fans around. Better yet, just admit that people tune out at the half hour break. Bring back a desk too. Those chairs are painful. What is this? Tavis Smiley?
Agreed on Leno. They tried mixing things up a bit, but now, we know it isn't working, and it's time for Leno to change the show back to Tonight Show-format permanently. Bring back the old segment order, the desk, and moreso, the old Leno. Is Leno still nervous that he's in primetime? As much as I love the guy, he just seems awkwardly nervous more often than normal. And what is up with the monologues lately? I swear, they've been telling that 7-11 Wine joke for 3 weeks now.
But, when NBC promotes the show, it's on Monday and Thursday. And let's face it - promoting it on NBC isn't doing anything, since no one watches NBC to begin with. Maybe when they finally do land a popular guest like Lautner, they should put in a few more dollars and place ads on other networks.
Lastly, great episode of BBT. Against DWTS, which did much better than normal at 9:30 this week, it hit a 5.1 demo and over 13 million viewers, which is completely fantastic. They need to go back to what works - get rid of the Leonard/Penny relationship, and go back to the "friend" ensemble that seems to work best.

Mushu! Temper, temper! I've said Castle will crumble once they take it off life support. I only raised the subject of VM to remind you that renewal isn't the point. We both know of many instances where networks have renewed shows and lived to regret it.
Now--do you really want to keep this up all season? I guess that's going to depend on Castle's ratings. If it turns out not to be so 'stabilized', you'll conveniently forget ever having said that it was. Don't worry. I'll remind you.

I agree completely. This week was a great episode in part, because we had Sheldon/Penny and not Leonard/Penny. They have to get rid of this Leonard/Pennny relationship ASAP, and get the group back together as friends. The Sheldon/Penny scenes are the best.
I am not with you on Castle, pisher. I think it has moderate long-term legs.

The scene with Sheldon/Penny in the car was one of the funniest of the entire series, IMO. These 2 definitely have chemistry together, and although they shouldn't base the series around it, they need to take better advantage of it. Makes me realize how boring Johnny Galecki really is, lol. If they can go back to better ensemble episodes, I bet they would see high ratings like this every week.
I still think that once DWTS ends, BBT's (and Men's) ratings will rise significantly. Men rose as high as 17 million last season, so I bet BBT could easily hit 15 million.

I thought the funniest scene was in the hospital. Sheldon's face was beyond hilarious!

agreed. I would love BBT to go as high as 16 million once DWTS is over

Travis, I was wondering if you had numbers for Chelsea Lately last Monday when Jim Carrey was on. I'm guessing not, but if you do, thanks!

It airs out of primetime, so I don't have any info Sorry!
That's fine! I should know by now as I asked for the 11pm episode of Rita Rocks a few weeks back.
