I agree with yankees (gulp) that it's time for Christine to go. It is a much better show than Rules (what isn't?) but those numbers are bad. By Season 3 the numbers should be getting better, not worse.

Just wondering, are those numbers for Greek good or bad?
THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE was first in adults 25-54 (5.5/12), adults 18-49 (4.3/11), second in households (7.1/11) and viewers (11.47m, -0.55m behind NBC). Compared to the program's live plus same day delivery this season, THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE was up +16% in households (from 6.1/09), +34% in both adults 25-54 (from 4.1/09) and adults 18-49 (from 3.2/08) and added +2.15m viewers (from 9.32m, +23%). THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE scored season highs in households, viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49. from TheFutonCritic.com TheFutonCritic.com
Christine totally deserves to return.
That was last weeks numbers when 2.5 Men was even higher. Another reason for no renewal, is because it had the biggest week to week drop of any comedy. I like the show, but still it is a weak point in the schedule, and I do have to admit ROE does better in the timeslot.
Its retention will probably improve next week. The show still deserves a renewal. Is it really all that compatible with 2.5 Men? No. Is it all that compatible with any CBS comedy? No. That alone imo is a reason for CBS to renew it. Give em a bit more diversity plus JLD is great and is a nice asset for them to have.
I believe that is the highest rated episode of the season. So much for the CSI's losing steam.
People are obviously responding to 'new product' after the WGA strike. The only question is: will it last? Maybe people will flock to all the returning shows and maybe it is only the first few returners (CSI:Miami and the CBS comedies) that will enjoy the bump. NBC/ABC/FOX better hope the bump lasts long enough for them to get their shows back on the air.

With only 2 weeks data, the 'trend' already indicates that BBT will fall to regular HIMYM levels as a leadin and that HIMYM will outperform it in the 8:30pm slot. If anything, this should be proof to CBS that HIMYM is the stronger lead-in (the one more likely capable of surviving if it is moved to a new night) while BBT needs more nurturing on Monday in a non-lead-in timeslot.

And for a first-year sitcom, the fact that it can perform at least as well as the 3 year old sitcom is still good news for CBS.
Yes but very few shows numbers have been improving this year. If Christine continues this sort of faltering in the coming weeks, then maybe it is time. If it rebounds, then its fine imo. Will CBS get as much out of a new sitcom as they will Christine on another night next year? That's the real question and my guess is no.

Yea, that sounds about right. CSI:M should settle back down to its 15 million range next week.
It will be interesting to see howthe Original CSI rates next week with its first episode back. Yes, 20 million shouldn't be a problem, but is 25 million a possibility?

Well since ABC will be in repeats, yes 25 million will be a possibility. Is it likely? No. I'd say 22 million.
