Sur ethey will. After all, they won't be honestly giving us the 52 week a year schedule they promised if they are going to change it a few weeks from now. Are you saying that NBC is being less than honest and that this press release will be nothing but hype?

Silverman hates the folks at ABC. He will probably do this to mess with them.
If NBC renews Scrubs it won't be because Scrubs has any value to NBC. I agree with you, it will be just like last year...a renewal just to be able to say they are in control.

I bet not and honestly, I hope not. Last night's ep has forced me to give the show another try but I'm afraid more emphasis on regular cast will not give me what I want. Still, shows like this are proving that at least CBS does comedy right. Drama on the other hand... I sat through the last 10 minutes of CSI:Miami with my Dad last night. Just awful. In a matter of minutes I knew what was going on and it was downright dull and a half until I saw Shades make his facial expressions or lack thereof. Then it was the funniest show on the CBS lineup.
doesn't it cost them money? money which they pay to abc studios...sounds pretty stupid for them to renew.

It is very interesting to see that Mr. Silverman is copying Mr. Meidel's strategy for MyNetworkTV during last year's 2007 upfront in bypassing the glitzy presentation in favour of a series of one-on-one dog-and-pony shows to the advertising community.
Has anyone heard confirmation of whether MyNetworkTV is sticking with the one-on-one presentation format for their 2008-09 upfront, or whether they are reverting back to the Madison Avenue flashy presentation model along with the other networks? (except NBC, of course)
So now you are twisting MNTV's Ion level upfront budget (mushu_jj already summed that one up well) into 'leading the way'?

As i wrote earlier Scrubs will move to ABC next season. It's a done deal.

Well, I did like last nights episode of HIMYM and I watch every week but I still think that the ratings will fall, maybe into the upper 8's. Why? Every CBS comedy had a drop from it's previous episode, besides HIMYM. BBT - 6%, 2.5 Men - 6%, and TNAOOC - 12%. I bet HIMYM will fall about 13%.

Or perhaps NBC is 'following the way' of the ION-level upfront budget that will surely please the green-eye-shaded cost-cutters at GE that are constantly glancing over Mr. Silverman's shoulders with a furrowed brow that constantly asks 'Can we do it cheaper?'.
Jim Parsons (Sheldon on BBT) receieved a good birthday present yesterday with those ratings.

HIMYM is a very funny show. It is actually one of the smartest created sitcoms on TV today. Plus it has Alyson Hannigan in the cast. Cant't go wrong there;-)

I did? Where? In the MyNet forum area?
Oh never mind. I remember now. Little smokies are on the docket for this year! Woot woot! Obveeus, there's a meet and greet for devoted fans like yourself and me before hand. We'll get scoops and bean dip!
