CM last night was one of those episodes that keep you glued on TV. Good job CM! PP on the other hand is spiraling down fast. Something needs to be done to stop the downfall!
I dont see PP spiraling down fast.. it's been doing a nice job, keeping 11 million viewers every week... only this week they lost a lots of viewers.. but it wasnt only PP.. it was ABC.. unfortunetly

You're very optimistic about PP. The fact that it's a GA spinoff helped the show for some weeks, that's why it still got decent numbers (i don't think 11 million is all that great really). But if the quality of the show does not improve this show will go downhill really quickly.
Well, yeah, the fact that its a GA spin-off sure did help the show. However, after 8 episodes, I dont think those who don't like the show would stick around just because its a Greys spin-off. And another thing is that the majority of grey's fans want addison back, didn't like the backdoor pilot, and wouldn't stick around for 8 weeks if the show hadn't increased its quality. 11 million week after week like what they see and stick with it.
11 million is definetly not a amazing number, but its one of the most watched new shows, and it's doing really well in the demo.

You English is fine. Welcome to the board.
Thanks, Hawk-eye.
I'll definetly keep visiting the board. Eventhough i'm from Brazil, I watch Grey's, DH, B&S, PP, Ugly Betty, PD, DSM, well, a hole bunch of shows...

I suppose ABC viewers are traveling to visit CBS viewers for Thanksgiving.
ABC should have saved their eps and run some kind of special or movie, like NBC is tonight. Once again, I have wonder why the network programmers have jobs.

THANKS for posting ratings on Turkey Day! I guess Nielsen doesn't this day off, huh? I mean, somebody must be working over at Nielsen in order to process all this data.
Compared against last week's final ratings (as posted by Travis), here are the declines in the all-important adults 18-49 demo:
8 p.m.: Pushing Daisies: -27% Kid Nation: -19% Phenomenon: -7.5% ANTM: -38% (Fox sitcoms excluded because Fox was smart enough to air reruns)
9 p.m.: Criminal Minds: -12% Kitchen Nightmares: -31% Private Practice: -38% Deal or No Deal vs. last week's Bionic Woman: +11% (Gossip Girl was a rerun)
10 p.m.: CSI: NY: -4% Dirty Sexy Money: -27% Deal vs. last week's Life: +36%
These calculations were done a bit quickly so there could be some minor errors. I have to rush off and go fight with an old bread machine.
My comments: NBC: Smart, for once. Fox: Smart. ABC: Dumb. I know they don't want to pre-empt new shows this soon after premiering them, as they're trying to build and maintain an audience, esp. when they also pre-empted them two weeks ago for a music awards program, but with the writer's strike, they could've conserved eps. by running a movie instead.
Note: I didn't calculate losses among total viewers because demos are much more important. I don't subscribe to the belief sometimes found here that total viewer numbers or household numbers still matter. Advertisers are ageist.

Last night's episode of Pushing Daisies was just plain dull. Like watching a mediocre Psych episode. I fell asleep halfway through, and I've been a big fan of the show. If the writing on PD doesn't improve, it's a goner.
I realize the the media needs to have a working relationship with the networks, but it would be nice if someone had the courage (and I mean no slight to our host) to ask the network heads at the TCA tours what they were thinking when one of their bonehead moves backfires, whether it be scheduling first-run episodes when the audience is watching or green-lighting a pilot that is either bad (Carpoolers; Big Shots), could not possibly work as a series in the long run (PD), or could never find an audience on broadcast television regardless of the quality.

But why should've ABC aired special and repeats when CBS aired new episodes and got very numbers. Maybe the problem for ABC is the quality of the shows.

really? I watched the episode and I really liked it, it wasnt my favourite episode, but it was definitely good, KC and CMB were awesome as usual, plus I am getting used to Jim Dale's voice, and wierdly find it soothing

ok so it seems that only the shows that heavily skew younger are the only ones down, PD, PP, DSM, kitchen nightmares and ANTM are the ones that are down, and those shows usually skew young, I guess its because younger viewers were probably out, while CM, DOND, CSI:NY which usually skews really old did very well, also KN did not decrease dramatically as it was a kids show, and the parents of those kids probably stayed to watch too
