Note: Any prior rating results are based on the final nationals. Since the level of DVR penetration has increased from 20 percent at this same point last year to approximately 28 percent at present, the overall results may be negatively impacted.
----------
-Friday’s Winners: Since not a single show cracked 9 million viewers or a 2 rating among adults 18-49, there were no “winners.”
-Friday’s Losers (excluding repeats): Howie Do It (NBC), Wife Swap (ABC), Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (Fox), Everybody Hates Chris (CW), The Game (CW), Friday Night Lights (NBC), Dollhouse (Fox), Dateline (NBC) -- that’s a lot of losers!
----------
-Ratings Breakdown: CBS won this first Friday in April with its combination of a repeat of Ghost Whisperer (Viewers: #1, 7.30 million; A18-49: #1, 1.6 rating/ 6 share), Flashpoint (Viewers: #1, 8.64 million; A18-49: #1, 1.8/ 6) and a repeat of Numb3rs (Viewers: #1, 7.50 million; A18-49: #2, 1.6/ 5). The positive news for Flashpoint, of course, was growth out of the Ghost Whisperer encore of 1.34 million viewers and 12 percent among adults 18-49.
Next on this typically bland Friday was ABC care of Wife Swap (Viewers: #2, 4.62 million; A18-49: #2, 1.5/ 6), a repeat of Supernanny (Viewers: #2, 4.55 million; A18-49: #3, 1.4/ 5) and 20/20 (Viewers: #2, 6.67 million; A18-49: #1, 1.8/ 6).
NBC was third overall in total viewers and fourth among adults 18-49 with its uneventful line-up of two episodes of Howie Do It (Viewers: #3, avg. 3.56 million; A18-49: #4, avg. 1.1/ 4), just renewed Friday Night Lights (Viewers: #4, 3.61 million; A18-49: #4, 1.2/ 4) and Dateline (Viewers: #3, 4.89 million; A18-49: #3, 1.4/ 5). Fans of Friday Night Lights will be happy to know that the critically acclaimed drama has been picked-up for two seasons (and 26 episodes) in a new deal with NBC and DirecTV. That’s a smart way to keep a low-rated series on the air.
Fox was just the opposite of NBC -- fourth in total viewers and third among adults 18-49 -- with its line-up of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (Viewers: #4, 3.35 million; A18-49: #3, 1.3/ 5), which concludes the season (or series) next Friday and Dollhouse (Viewers: #4, 3.49 million; A18-49: #3, 1.4/ 5). Unfortunately, there is no way to put a positive spin on the Dollhouse numbers this week.
Last was the CW is its abysmal combination of Everybody Hates Chris (Viewers: 1.79 million; A18-49: 0.6/ 2), The Game (Viewers: 1.86 million; A18-49: 0.8/ 3) and an encore telecast of America’s Next Top Model (Viewers: 1.37 million; A18-49: 0.6/ 2) -- all last in each category. Chances are there will be no sitcoms on the CW’s line-up next season. What it will do to improve Friday (and Sunday) is anyone’s guess.
Thats even with last week despite less competition. I'd like to see fans spin it now.
VOTE IN THE PIF NETWORK GAME: http://pifeedback.com/eve/foru...93910104/m/179109972 TONIGHT: ---> NEW <--- EPISODES OF KILLER ISLAND, AND GETTING SOME. PLUS SISTERHOOD, GATED COMMUNITY, DRACULA, ROSIE, LIFE HAPPENS, AND FALLING WITH STYLE!
Next season The CW has two options for Friday and Sunday. Give it back to the affiliates or do some power programming. If they program halfass, they might as well just give back to the affiliates, they need to become aggressive on these poor nights by putting signature shows on them.
What I mean is Sunday nights go with 90210 or One Tree Hill (which fans have always followed over the last 6 years). Reaper has also proven that fans will watch and may make a great addition to Friday night if accompanied by Vampire Diaries.
Not that it matters much, but Ghost Whisperer ran until 9:01pm last night. I don't know if that would increase Flashpoint a bit since Ghost Whisperer was a repeat.

I'm a fan of the show and there just isn't any spinning here. It was a rocking trailer that should have drawn viewers in, but did not. Oh well. I guess "Dollhouse" just wasn't meant to be. We'll enjoy what we get of the show and move on like everyone else who has loved a poorly nielsen rated show.
That is nice growth for Flashpoint, but still nothing special. Airing a new episodes with repeat was kind of strange, but I guess it was to air all the episodes ontime with the others.
Howie Do It is just pathetic now. Are there even any original episodes left of it, or will NBC just continue to air repeats? Why not bring in a few episodes of Deal or No Deal for the rest of the season? And Friday Night Lights - I don't know why this show is returning for 2 more seasons. Its ratings are nothing short of pathetic.
Terminator and Dollhouse are both pathetic, and both will be cancelled. Dollhouse's days of growing out of Terminator are over, even if it is by a few thousand. It seems like many of its viewers are finally accepting it and are moving on, the reason why ratings aren't growing anymore. It won't be back next season.

I rally hope they pick it up for 13 episode mid-season replacement.
Why would they pick it up? T:SCC is quite expensive and the ratings are terrible. FOX can just use the game show lineup for a much cheaper cost and somewhat better ratings.

It's a shame Dollhouse isn't doing better, I like the show but it won't be back. I just hope that was anticipated and that they have made a season finale that rounds up the story.
An uneventful Friday. I hope networks make an effort next season to get something good on Friday and Saturday's.
If I were the CW I would give Sunday back to the affiliates and work aggressively on Friday.

I agree with you. Too bad that the best episode of the series so far has reached a new series low.
It sure does not look like a renewal is in the cards at this point.

Both shows have to be hugely expensive, SCC more than Dollhouse. With less than 4 million viewers, there's no way both shows will be back next season.
I wonder how Prison Break will do - will the 5 million viewers it had return, will some extra viewers also return for the final episodes, or will people just not care anymore?
