CBS and NBC are tied for the Demo lead, going into Sunday night.

SPeaking of Sunday Night, it will be interesting to see how well 5th Grader will do in the 7pm hour tonight. With most kids now back in school, it should be a bump up from recent programming, but could, on an outside chance, to do weel against the other nets.

Just don't understand the poor viewership for "Masters SF". Even a dedicated fan such as I watches something besides football sometimes!

Wow, Saturday beat Friday. It seems like these numbers are a bit above average.

Noticed that myself. In addition to
the already mentioned 48 HOURS, GHOST
WHISPERER did about what it did in
its last fri nite performance and
outperformed (esp in demo) various
dramas that aired this summer; AGT
understandably did better than most
of its Saturday outings; and the
intermittently aired MEDIUM gradually
has built throughout the summer.

I believe CBS could easily win Saturday with a lineup similar to their Friday programming. Why they couldn't have tried a Power of 10, Close to Home, 48 Hours lineup is just dumb to me.

Close to Home was a dud, reason why it was canned.

It wasn't a dud, CBS just wanted shows that could get a higher demo. Mushu, I think that lineup would have worked well. It probably could have averaged 8-9 million viewers.

It had more viewers than the other two Friday shows, it just skewed a bit older. Its just the latest example of the CBS youth obsession.

I still think a night of game shows could work for a network on Saturday.

I agree. I would be watching every one of them. A night of game shows is a terrific idea.

A night of DOND, 1 vs. 100, and Singing Bee would be great for NBC.

2.5 demo and consistently over 10 million viewers is not a dud. It just skewed to old.

Also a solid number for America's Most Wanted in addition to the already mentioned 48 Hours. The non-scripted older-skewing programming is a good direction to go on Saturday.
