8:00 - Deal or No Deal 9:00 - Heroes 10:00 - Deal or No Deal
One other quick thing about the CW being worth $23.87. You know what they should've done? Kept calling it "The WB." Just have UPN go away. Although not a complete elimination of confusion, it would have reduced it.
And, the name "The WB" at least had some equity in the marketplace where "The CW" has none.
But, I know, CBS's ego probably mandated they get a "C" in there somewhere.
Put Law and Order on Tuesdays 8 PM creating one Law and Order / crime drama night
1 vs 100 to Wednesday at 8 PM, and Crossing Jordan to Wednesday at 10, where it has a better shot of competing against CSI NY than Medium
and put Friday Night Lights on Friday at 8 PM (where the name implies you should find it) followed by Las Vegas at 9, and Studio 60 at 10.
I think the one thing that is evidence on Friday night, is the audience might not be large, but the people staying home to watch tv on Friday night are a little more sophisticated and are looking for quality television. If Friday Nights and Studio 60 pull in somewhere between 9 and 10 million, than it should be looked at as a success.
Slop Reilly, I think that your lineup looks quite good. Medium is a good fit for Mondays. I like the idea of one night of Law and Order. In fact, I think that one night of Law and Order would be quite dominant for NBC. All three editions have their own audience, plus they would have great opportunities for cross over episodes. The only thing I'm worried about is Friday Night Lights on Fridays. I think that the audience is much too young for it to air there, but I agree with the idea of Studio 60 on Friday. There is no other show like it on Friday right now.
mushu_jj - Is Friday Night Lights really that young skewing? Yes it is a family drama, but it seems to be appealing more to adults. Family dramas need time to attract an audience. Friday night, away from the pressure, I think it might grow. Like I said, the more sophisticated viewers might find it, and it will grow into a small, but solid ratings hit.
If its not on Friday, where on the schedule would it work? The only other place I can think would be to hold it back until after football and put in on Sundays at 8 PM, where the football starved crowd might check it out.
The show is called "Friday Night Lights" - it should really be on Friday and as Marc once referenced - remember Providence? I don't really picture this to be a younger skewing show. It seems to be more of the older quality loving crowd to me.... with Vegas or 1 vs 100 at 8 (cst) and Studio 60 following it.
I agree that Friday Night Lights is a family skewing show, but I guess I just don't want it on Friday. I won't be home and many of the people I know who watch Friday Night Lights won't be home either. Yet, the Friday 8pm slot is relatively uncompetitive, so FNL may work there. I guess the only other slot I see it working in is the Monday 10pm slot it aired in this week as Heroes would be a fairly compatible lead in (I also think that it needs more than one airing there to determine whether or not this would work). Regardless of where it ends up, I still hope Friday Night Lights works. Its far too good of a show to just let go. Maybe if it doesn't work on NBC, the CW could pick it up. It would be a massive hit on that network.
Hmmm, I never take that into consideration because I couldn't tell you the last time I watched a show live. (Except for Football or when the TV is on at the Health Club.) I like when they put shows on Fridays because I have nothing to record then.... and way too much on Mondays -
Hello. New here and I don't know if this question has been ask before but does anyone know why NBC moved Medium from Mondays at 10pm to Wed at 10pm? I would think to even a casual viewer that the match-up of Heroes with Medium would be a better draw and retention rate than Heroes and Studio 60. Wasn't Medium preforming well in the 10pm hour on Monday nights for NBC?
Also when is Crossing Jordan Returning to the line-up does anyone know?
Hi Ravenu. We are all in agreement that Medium should be back on Monday opposite CSI: Miami where it ranked a comfortable second, but NBC thinks Wednesday is better for some reason. It makes no sense to me. And no word yet on when Crossing Jordan is coming back.
ABC kicked off the evening with a repeat of Wife Swap at a fourth-place 4.7/ 7 in the overnights, 6.49 million viewers and a 2.6/ 7 among adults 18-49 at 8 p.m., followed by typical deliveries for The Bachelor: Rome (Overnights: #3: 5.7/ 8; Viewers: #3, 8.23 million; A18-49: #3, 3.2/ 8) and What About Brian (Overnights: #3: 4.3/ 7; Viewers: #3, 6.44 million; A18-49: #3, 2.9/ 8) from 9-11 p.m. Does anyone even care about The Bachelor franchise anymore?
Yeah, just two - Howard Stern and his girlfriend, Beth Ostrosky.
