My wife and I have been caught in the STUDIO 60 conundrum since it started. What we can't figure out is why NBC hasn't tried moving it to Wednesday at 10 PM as the ABC mess 'The Nine' seems to be failing and CSI-NY could get 'shaken' up by some real competition. 'Miami' is just too strong right now. '60' needs nuturing and better placement.
Although NBC has scheduled Medium there, I agree with you Frank. NBC should put Medium back at Monday at 10 p.m. (where it ranks a comfortable second behind CSI: Miami), and move Studio 60 to Wednesday at 10 p.m.

Grey's Anatomy (GREYS $34.40) is the highest valued primetime show with 196,059 shares held by players.
Survivor: Cook Islands (SRVRC $41.47) is the highest valued reality TV show (different rules adjust reality TV show prices) with 75,000 shares held by players.
CBS (CBSTV $107.04) Is the highest valued network. No shares are held by players.

I agree with both of you. For the last two years, I watched Medium faithfully on Monday nights at 10. NBC should put Medium back on Monday, put Studio 60 on Wednesdays at 10, move Friday Night Lights to Friday at 8, and put either 1 vs. 100 or Dateline on Tuesday at 8.

That would seem like the logical decision, to put Medium back on Monday, right? I don't understand why NBC would mess with one of the few successes they have.

Medium might also appeal to the Heroes audience, given the supernatural element. And it would benefit with the stronger lead-in than its had in seasons past, maybe rising to the levels of its first season (the second season saw significant declines for the show across the board). This was NBC's original plan, before Grey's "forced" NBC to move Studio 60. The real question for the Sorkin show... is there anywhere in the line-up that a show like that would be have a decent home? The series is so hard to categorize, as far as its audience. I think NBC should bench it until after football, and put it on Sundays at 8pm (which the West Wing was during Season Seven).

If NBC tried airing Studio 60 Wednesday at 10 p.m. at least that would show they are trying another time period. Why let it continue to languish on Monday when Medium is the perfect fit out of Heroes? Come on NBC -- open your eyes.
Hey guys... can't poor old Anthony here get some credit too?
Check out my post from last week about "Medium" to Monday. My suggestion was to schedule "Studio 60" on Wednesday at 9pm - the old "West Wing" slot - while "Lost" takes its "hiatus." There will be a hole for a No. 2 to "Criminal Minds"

Studio 60 would get buried in that time slot. There would be no lead in and once February came around, Lost would eat it alive. Studio 60, in my mind, has no chance, regardless of the critical acclaim. Its another Sports Night. I think that Law and Order should've been left alone on Wednesdays at 10pm. Studio 60 maybe could try Friday. Not much competition. Las Vegas would be a decent lead in and Numbers skews differently.
Marc, I just read that abc has added two new affiliates; one in Ohio and one in Oregon. How often does this happen? Will it have any material impact on ratings?
