As for Samantha Who, it's not the first time a comedy is lead in dependent. Christine and Rules of Engagement on CBS were both reliant on Two and A Half Men to earn ratings. While ROE may be somewhat of a self starter, Christine is absolutely going to crash and burn on Wednesdays.

Okay, fair enough. Just one question. You think Old Christine will crash and burn on Wednesday. What do you think it will get in viewers and demo. I do not think it will do great, but hardly crash and burn. Also, what do you think Samantha Who would get if it was on the same Wednesday at 8:00 opposite Old Christine instead of Pushing Daisies ? I say Old Christine would kill Samantha Who. It more than doubled it up last night.

I think it would be closer then you think. Christine had the advantage of 2.5 Men last night. I'm guessing they would both hit 5 million viewers if it were that situation.

What is interesting is Two and a Half Men actually lost the most viewers of any of the four CBS sitcoms last night, but since it comes from such a high number its numbers look the best. It lost 2 million viewers from last week when the other three only lost from 1.5 to 1.7 million.

Whoops! Wrong week. I'm used to that site cranking out the cable numbers like clockwork on Tuesdays. I didn't even notice the new numbers hadn't gone up.

Thanks for the heads up yankeesrj12!

And The Mole - no big shocker that Craig was The Mole, but it did a season low last night, and it was the finale. I'm still hoping it'll be back next summer, but it won't.

Of course he was the Mole. However, I think it would of been worse if Nicole ended up being the Mole. And the clues given at the end? How could anyone have seen those?

Yes, he was a very obvious Mole. When all the players were saying how they thought he'd never be the mole, I was trying to find out how a bunch of idiots like them could be cast in a show like that-LOL.

Those clues were insanely hidden in the show - there's no way a viewer would actually be looking that hard for them. The only one that was somewhat findable were the initials on the wall. Nonetheless, I really enjoyed this season - easily the best season since the first, and way better than those celebrity editions!

I agree. This move won't help T:SCC and it won't protect any of FOX's other shows from looking bad by airing against the Olympic juggernaut.

NBC should probably be nice to Honda and do a makegood for them during the Olympic coverage.

Univision beat 3 of the 4 CBS comedies in the 18-49 demo Monday night. Everyone can guess which comedy actually beat Univision.

Will you stop with Univision. Unless Marc starts posting Univision ratings here it simply is never part of the equation.

Why? It did well so it can be "part of the equation".

I figured I'd weigh in here since I'm the one actually posting the UNI numbers (at least sometimes). I think its ratings do matter, but probably aren't central to the other broadcast networks ratings. While there are a few choices for Spanish language programming, there aren't many, which gives UNI some advatanges vs. the other broadcast networks.

Where this especially shows up is among 18-34 year olds where UNI can consistently outperform many of the broadcast networks. my guess is that for the current week, with the olympics going on, and SYTYCD over with, UNI will rise to second (from third) among 18-34 year olds.

Two and a Half Men's performance last night was still impressive in my estimation. But among 18-34 year olds Fuego en la Sangre beat it by more than 57% (2.2/6 for Fuego vs. 1/4 for Two and a Half Men).

While I do find UNI's numbers important, and interesting I don't know that they're typically particularly relevant as far as the English language shows go. Though I would note UNI's ratings seem more impacted by shows like American Idol and SYTYCD than the Olympics, but that may well change if/when Baseball and Soccer are shown during primetime.

While I understand Marc's reluctance to include Univision data here (increased reporting mess that very few readers will actually care about), I also think that the rise of Univision is an important (historic level importance) story for ratings and US culture. I'm ok with Marc not including the data in his daily reports, though I wish he would include Univision in his weekly summary report.

The same goes for MNTV (though it really doesn't have the historic importance of univision). Including daily data for MNTV would make Marc's daily report messier for little/no benefit to the reader (good thing MNTV is too cheap to pay for Nielsen data overnights, so marc can't be blamed for leaving them out), but I would like to see the data included in the weekly summary report.

Side note: I'm also fine with Marc not reporting cable numbers here, but I am greatful that other people are kind enough to report those numbers here (can't wait to see how American Mall did attracting those 'grown-up' highschool musical viewers Monday night). This is a forum for ratings discussion, so actual data should always be welcomed (not attacked as with the anti-Univision remark upthread). When Univision is winning the night in the demo (like they did every Friday night for the past several months aside for the Olympic opening ceremony) or winning a demo segment consistently (like they did over CBS and NBC from March to June in the 18-34 demo), it most certainly is ratings news that informed ratings followers should hear about.
