With ratings as low as they post, weekly, on this night, its hard to slide much more.

We knew NO show would keep its pre olympics levels, but for 2.5 Men to get 8 million and a 2.4 demo against the olympics is pretty impressive. The rest of the night is about were you would think they should be.
The Mole - 10:00pm (HH - 2.0/3) (Viewers - 2.97 M) (18:49 - 1.2/3)

Yes, an impressive 20% drop in the demo from last week. Not as bad as the other CBS sitcoms, but like I said, CBS was hit most by the Olympics. FOX took a big hit as well, but their programming was totally different than last week, so a comparison is less useful there.
I said yesterday that the under/over number for Two and a Half Men was 8 million, and I was right on. It is still pretty good against the Olympics.
I actually think the other CBS shows held up well against the Olympics. Obviously, a little below their summer averages, but they all won their time slots in both viewers and demo excluding the Olympics, of course.

CBS hit the most ? I strongly disagree. They won every single half hour against the other networks (other than NBC, of course) and they are the only network to get over a 1.5 in the demo every half hour. The other networks were basically all below 1.0 every half hour. I think they held up well. You have to take into consideration the Olympics is an extraordinary ratings monster like we have never seen before.
I think the phoniest rated show on TV continues to be Samantha Who. I know it is up against the Olympics but to get 2.5 million viewers and a .8 demo is ridiculous. The CBS 8:00 shows basically doubled it up, and not to mention what the 9:00 CBS sitcoms did opposite it. That show continues to be nothing more than 55% of whatever DWTS gives it. Without DWTS it is dead in the water.

what has coming in second have to do with how much they were affected? The amount of affect is a pretty simple concept. Highschool Musical, The Mole, Gossip Girl, and One Tree Hill did not have any demo drop. CBS took a significant demo drop.

The other networks were at the same level the prior week, hence what 'no affect' would mean.

No one said that CBS sucked and should close up shop. I said that they were hit hardest, which they were.
