you are correct; had sunday scores switched between nbc/fox quote: Originally posted by Zedman2: quote: Originally posted by vlis: My estimate for the week in 18-49: abc 2.9 cbs 2.5 nbc 2.4 fox 3.0
I think NBC should be about 2.1 and FOX about 3.4.

They did just that, and it was one of the best CSI episodes ever. But still it's hard to watch this kind of stuff even if it's fictional. Somehow it's easier for me to watch people getting tortured and killed
The same for me.

Either way, what was predicted with ABC overtaking CBS happened and the alphabet in a few weeks should be able to move ahead of the eye in the demo.

It almost beat Grey's Thursday night episode, it retained 95% of its audience from 1 year ago and ABC has to be ecstatic that it still does so well nearing the end of its 4th (and much improved) season. It also ranked 25% above any other show last night. I agree the gabi/carlos storyline is getting old and they dont really know what to do with poor Edie but the rest of the cast and storylines are pretty strong right now and obviously most viewers agree because they're not running away in droves contrary to popular belief. quote: Originally posted by vlis: say what you want about DH, but it was the #2 scripted show of the week in the demo
Didnt it beat Grey's episode last Thurs? I think it did. Grey's estimate was 16.0 and CSI's was 16.7 no? I dont know what Grey's final was but this DH should most likely go up to 16.5 on Tuesday. And I just wanted to add that this season is NOT awful and has NOT lost "it" at all. Its just wrapping up the fourth season and is no longer the new hit sensation it was in season one. Thats different from being a bad show. I do agree that the Gaby/Carlos stuff sucks and we are getting way too much of it post-strike, but everyone else's stuff I am loving and the Katherine mystery hasa been pretty good. I also find it hilarious that still with over 16 million viewers and being the highest rated scripted show(as of now for season tro date numbers I believe) on tv that it's lost it and all this other nonsense, yet Brothers & Sisters is "must see" tv. LOL I think season two is nowhere near as good as season one, and if I'm losing interest fast in any show it's this one and not DH.

DS is so underrated, I use to love GA [Season 1 & 2] but now it completely falls inferior to DS. I still can not believe it even pulls anything above a 13mil. At lease DS and its storylines are trying to go different directs and progressing the characters rather than always breaking up the same couple and than a few eps later having them get back together to just break up again. One thing I wish from ABC was that they give as much publicity to DS as they do GA, it is not the only show that is pulling in the dough or awards.

I enjoyed both DH and B&S last night. I know people are tired of the Gaby/Carlos storyline, but that is her character. Carlos is very limited now with his blindness, so perhaps there is an ending in sight for him. Edie just seems to be floating around, and the producers would have been better of letting her kill herself in last season's finale. As for Brothers & Sisters, I was highly enthralled with last night's episode. The tension in all of the storylines was gripping. The stage has been set for a Walker family showdown next week. Finally, don't forget to submit your roster for Game 75 of the PIFeedback Challenge before tomorrow morning at 7:59 AM et! Thank you Douglas for all the effort you put into creating and updating all of these games.

From what I've heard, Eddie will sink to a new low at the end of the season. quote: Originally posted by tvfan300: I enjoyed both DH and B&S last night. They had a great episode last night, and for a procedural, this show offers something a little different, with a blend of crime and sentimentality. Desperate Housewives however can't catch a break. Can't blame the viewers for running for the hills though. This season is just awful! Shame about AiA. It's definitely the best new comedy this season (and the best show on CW's sked), but no one watches it!
I tottally disagree with you IMO Cold Case is one of the most boring procedural i've ever watched (and i've watched plenty). I like DH this season, and AIA is decent but better than BBT?
I agree with with you Cold case sucks big time. And DH is in its best season right now. And i never saw the appeal of brothers and sisters. i really think that show stinks to high heaven

Also, Nathan Fillion was absent last night, but instead we got the non-convincing Gary Cole in a plotline I don't care about. I wonder how long ABC is going to beat the dead horse called DH. quote: Originally posted by Marc Berman: DH just does not have "it" anymore. Hardly. Watch season 1 and then compare it over again. And if it's in its best season, where are it's 30 million viewers it used to get? And saying "less people watch tv, or DVR it" is not an excuse. American Idol proves that shows can still get Live+SD viewers.

quote: Originally posted by pisher: quote: Ok, so in today's post strike, increasing DVR, overall viewership dropping like a rock for most shows environment. What kind of numbers should ABC expect for this "awful" show?
It's beside the point what they expect--we're not talking about whether or not they cancel it. We're talking about whether it's realistic to say "ABC is so happy with these numbers" when in fact ABC is looking at a very bleak future (as are all the networks) when they look at these numbers. DVR isn't going away. Dropping viewership isn't going away. Fragmenting audiences isn't going away. Rising production costs aren't going away. People getting increasingly bored with DH, Greys, Ugly Betty, etc, isn't going away. They can't stay in business by spending more money for lower ratings, year after year. I understand that for you, as a fan, it's all about keeping 'your' show as long as possible. But for ABC, it's about money, and they are making a lot less of it. And DH is going to do horribly in syndication. Btw, where did I use the word "awful" in reference to DH in my last post? For what it is, DH is fairly well done. And I'd say the same thing about American Idol. Which I don't watch. And which is declining a lot more slowly than DH. Networks also make money of their shows from DVD's and other merchandise and channels in other countries

yeah she is a bitch. She really needs to hit rug bottom and stay there til she learns how to treat animals and people.
