I thoroughly enjoyed Supernatural tonight and I am glad to have it back on the air. There were nice little hints about certain characters on the show and what their future holds. And let me say this...had the writers strike not happened, this would have been the best season yet for the series. Fantastic episode tonight!!
Just finished watching Eli Stone. The first 10 minutes or so were excrutiatingly bad. The show changed dramatically with the first accupuncture appointment and the rest of the episode was quite good. Anyone on the West coast giving this show a shot should hold out for that point.

ITA I watched the first 10 minutes of the show and thought it was really bad and turned it off. However I might try to watch it again this weekend, give it another chance, but if it is like Pushing Daisies then I won't be tuning in. I guess another thing that really turned me off from the show was the constant George Michael's advertisements played during every Lost commerical break that by the time I was ready to watch the show. It made me want to turn it off. Is there such thing as over advertising a show, if so this one was.

I didn't have that problem since I watched the Democratic debate on CNN rather than Lost. The only part of Lost I saw was the last 5 minutes or so (sure looked like more than 2 minutes of overrun). I'm not a Lost viewer, but it sure looked like the same old 'jerk everyone around with non-answers' that all the ardent fans of the show claim that they don't revel in watching each episode.

It got past PD type material early on.
Watchable, if not compelling, strike period offering.

You are wrong. Within the first 3 minutes they had pretty major reveal.

Peace!!
I agree, wenart. I didn't even mind Ruby tonight. Interesting clues about what is coming, at least some of which I hope we will get to see this year.
One thing that bothered me is that by my clock the show ended (including the amazing preview for next week's ep) at 9:55. Please correct me if I am wrong, but one thing I was surprised to learn previously on this forum is that the ratings for the 9:30 half hour are calculated at the end of the hour. So if people watched the entire episode and then clicked over to Lost at 9:56, Lost will get the ratings points as if that person had watched it for the entire 30 minutes? Please tell me I am mistaken.
Anyway, wonderful episode again. I wish more people were watching this show.

I am not to sure about that Deborah. I too wish more people were watching this show because it is wonderful. I just hope that the ratings are good tomorrow.
Well i've seen ES's pilot a few months ago and i thought it was so-so material. I watched yesterday again and i thought it was horrible. Maybe if i watch it a third time i'll find it fantastic. Seriously speaking ES is gonna bomb. It's a totally unoriginal show (maybe for a crime show that wouldn't be a problem but for tis type of show it is). It wants to be an AM/PD mix and fails completely. It isn't funny, it isn't dramatic, it's nothing IMO I truly don't understand why the critics are mad about this kind of shows.

Nielsen PeopleMeters count viewing by the minute, so even if there was a switchover from Supernatural to Lost at 9:55 pm, this will not take-away from the count of viewers for Supernatural over the first 55 minutes.
Both episodes, Lost and Supernatural, were great contributions to their respective series. Thank Sony and Pioneer for the technology that allows me to watch both!
