-Yesterday’s Winners: Dancing With the Stars (ABC), The Big Bang Theory (CBS), How I Met Your Mother (CBS), Saturday Night Live Presidential Bash (NBC), Two and a Half Men (CBS)
-Yesterday’s Losers (excluding repeats): Deal or No Deal (NBC), Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (Fox), Prison Break (Fox), Samantha Who? (ABC), Worst Week (CBS), Boston Legal (ABC)

-Ratings Breakdown: ABC and NBC shared leadership on this first Monday in November, with ABC the most-watched network (770,000 viewers ahead of NBC), and the home of the SNL Presidential Bash No. 1 among adults 18-49. CBS finished third in total viewers and second in the demo, with sluggish Fox fourth and the CW fifth. But the CW’s strength, of course, falls within the female demographics.
ABC opened the night on a winning note, of course, with the 90-minute edition of Dancing With the Stars at an average 17.35 million viewers and a 3.9 rating/ 9 share among adults 18-49 from 8-9:30 p.m. Here is the half-hour breakdown:
Dancing With the Stars (ABC) 8:00 p.m. – Viewers: 16.08 million (#1), A18-49: 3.5/ 9 (#2) 8:30 p.m. – Viewers: 17.90 million (#1), A18-49: 4.1/10 (#1t) 9:00 p.m. – Viewers: 18.06 million (#1), A18-49: 4.2/ 9 (#3)
Despite the ample lead-in support, sitcom Samantha Who? dipped to 9.71 million viewers (#2) and a 2.7/ 6 among adults 18-49 (#2t) at 9:30 p.m. That put retention out of the last half-hour of Dancing With the Stars of just 54 percent in total viewers and 64 percent in the demo. One year earlier, Samantha Who? was considerably stronger at 12.86 million viewers and a 4.3/10 among adults 18-49. Tired Boston Legal capped off the evening for ABC with a season-low 7.22 million viewers and a 2.0/ 5 in the demo from 10-11 p.m. No one ever said facing the SNL special would be easy.
As for Dancing With the Stars, Susan Lucci and Cody Linley were the weakest links last night. But since Susan has the support of the daytime fans (many of whom watch the competition), it looks like Julianne Hough may have more time off than she had hoped for.
NBC, meanwhile, got plenty of mileage out of the SNL Presidential Bash, with 14.36 million viewers and a 5.6/14 among adults 18-49 from 9-11 p.m. But lead-in Deal or No Deal celebrated its 200th episode with an uneventful 7.08 million viewers (#3) and a 2.0/ 5 in the demo (#3t) from 8-9 p.m. While I have complained in the past that Deal or No Deal is too slow, last night’s sped-up version was an absolute abomination. By constantly looking for new gimmicks, Deal or No Deal is quickly losing its original identity. As for the SNL special here is the half-hour breakdown:
Saturday Night Live Presidential Bash (NBC) 9:00 p.m. – Viewers: 14.27 million (#2), A18-49: 5.4/12 (#1) 9:30 p.m. – Viewers: 16.54 million (#1), A18-49: 6.2/14 (#1) 10:00 p.m. – Viewers: 14.44 million (#1), A18-49: 5.8/14 (#1) 10:30 p.m. – Viewers: 12.19 million (#2), A18-49: 5.0/13 (#1)
Opposite heavier than usual competition on NBC, CBS was still on the map with its following line-up:
CBS/Monday 8:00 p.m.: The Bang Theory Viewers: 9.90 million (#2), A18-49: 3.8/10 (#1)
8:30 p.m.: How I Met Your Mother Viewers: 9.56 million (#2), A18-49: 4.1/10 (#1t)
9:00 p.m.: Two and a Half Men Viewers: 12.80 million (#3), A18-49: 4.6/10 (#2)
The weak link, of course, was freshman Worst Week, which dipped from lead-in Two and a Half Men by 34 percent in viewers and 41 percent among adults 18-49 (and can be easily replaced with benchwarmer Rules of Engagement). But the big news was a first-place time period finish for both The Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother in the demo from 8-9 p.m.
Over at Fox, the combination of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (Viewers: #4, 5.16 million; A18-49: #3t, 2.0/ 5) and tired Prison Break (Viewers: #4, 5.23 million; A18-49: #4, 2.1/ 5) dipped by an average 2.65 million viewers and 41 percent among adults 18-49 from the year-ago line-up of two episodes of Prison Break. Maybe Fox should rethink that full season episode order for Sarah Connor. And The CW capped off the evening with Gossip Girl (Viewers: #5, 3.16 million; A18-49: #5, 1.6/ 4) and the compatible One Tree Hill (Viewers: #5, 2.35 million; A18-49: #5, 1.6/ 4), which lost some steam opposite the first half of the SNL special.

Anyway it's gonna be PB's last season but it truly deserved better from FOX. It still manages to grow from SCC with much much more competition. That's a shame, why is FOX still favouring SCC it's well beyond my understanding
great numbers for big bang,is that a series high?if not it`s very close to. SNL is in great shape this year,it`s a shame for them that election is today.

Over at Fox, the combination of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (Viewers: #4, 5.16 million; A18-49: #3t, 2.0/ 5) and tired Prison Break (Viewers: #4, 5.23 million; A18-49: #4, 2.1/ 5)
As soon a the Nov. sweeps are done, I would pull new episodes of T:SCC until it is able to be paired with 24 come January.
If PB does comeback, it will be after the '09 MARCH Sweeps, in April
The best think for SNL is for a McCain upset to happen today. Otherwise, they'll start seeing ratings back to that of a couple of years ago.

Good numbers for Gossip Girl. I will not even make a "GG trashed OTH" comment because I find no need. The shows are still compatibile and in no competition, and the SNL bash obviously hurt OTH. If it aired from 8-10, it would have hurt BOTH shows.
Congratulations to BBT for being the first show at 8:00 to beat DWTS in the 18-49 demo, and congratulations to HIMYM for tying DWTS in the demo. Great job by both shows.
The 9.9 million viewers would be a series high for BBT, but we have to wait for the finals, because BBT and HIMYM were preempted in Phoenix and Kansas City due to election shows so they will drop in the finals.
Disagree with you Marc about FOX should reconsider TERMINATOR full season order.
For once at long last FOX is actually rewarding the loyal core base of a show by not giving it the hook before its story could be fully told..think REUNION (they couldn't even be bothered to show the four they had in the can let alone complete the 13 episode order) or DRIVE that they yanked with ridicously low patience.
Besides do we really want to see an opportunity for FOX to role out yet another variation on a reality or game show?
I hope SAMANTHA WHO get renewed even though its a timeslot hit.
Yes 9.9 million would be a high. Its previous high was 9.5 million, but it may drop in the finals because it was preempted in Phoenix and Kansas City due to election specials.

Still, a good night for the CW, once again.
There's no need since OTH once again beats GG in demos. And with much toughr competition
