I assume expanded interviews and some on the fly political commentary (I mean voting well have hit the primary's already.

And yeah, I so love One Tree Hill (Sorry fans), but really I can't compare Gossip Girls to them, since I have never watched Gossip Girls. So I really can't base anything on my liking or disliking it.

But Those numbers are rerun levels for Mondays and typically lower then reruns on Thursday.

So Yikes.....

Don't worry.. you're not missing much, OTH is way better than Gossip Girl..

Not as long as they can air another hour of Deal or No Deal in the week.

By the way, do you think that NBC possibly will be airing the unaired episodes of The Book of Daniel?

He is the Saint of poorly rated series around here. He is even hoping that with the strike, that NBC (or one of the other nets) will NOW run the unaired episodes of a show that was cancelled 3 years ago.

I actually still thought there was life in the show if they had gone in the right direction with their changes. But each one made it more and more unrealistic and turned Trump from being an interesting personality into a joke.

1. Getting rid of the other respectable boardroom judges in place of his family (with Donald Jr being the least polished I could imagine)

2. The stupid have and have not twist where the interviewees slept in tents.

3. Going the "celebrity" route.

I'd actually still watch the show because a good relatable workplace type of reality show is lacking if they made the right changes. (Sigh)

This is a good move by ABC. Fox will hurt the Apprentice during the first episode with football. Greys can then clean up during week two. Three weeks later Lost can lick up the crumbs.

Lol, then maybe it will be finally cancelled by this season, I just want trump's face of the tv

Agreed. I loved The Apprentice in the first couple of seasons but it got old and annoying very fast after that.

In the end, I don't think it really matters if Grey's airs against it the first week or the second, it's gonna get killed sooner or later. Lost will be on 3 weeks after that anyway.

I hope ABC does keep Grey's on the 10th though.

I am not a fan of the show nor have I even watched it, but I will checkout the celebrity edition this January.

Yes, mostly because Gene Simmons is a contestant, but also, I do want to see how these celeb's do, with their personal experiences in the business world. At least half of them have some sort of business line or corporation.

Personally, Gene Simmons should mop them all up and win.

You should prepare for disappointment.
1. The Apprentice has almost nothing to do with 'business'.
1. Simmons won't win. Trump will give him the Kiss-off at some point. Wink

We actually watched old Apprentice episodes in my PR class this past fall and did PR Apprentice assignments. Kind of stupid but at times the professor managed to tie it in. I think he just wanted to watch the Apprentice (he used to work in TV at a local affiliate). The episodes from Martha Stewart were actually more entertaining imo. I liked the cast better than the regular edition but the old boardroom folks for Donald were great. I certainly won't watch without them.

Well since Supernatural will be done with eps by at least mid-February, I think they should put either Reaper encores after Smallville to hopefully increase exposure or try Farmer there. B&tG did well there once. I think this could too. Then use Supernatural repeats perhaps Tuesdays at 8. I don't see it very similar in audience nature to Idol and they're just repeats anyway. That would give OTH a decent lead in.

Gossip Girl should be pair with One Tree Hill. I think it is inevitable, unless they want to continue trying it after the next cycle of ANTM, but they should put PCD Presents in that slot given the general failure of all but Thursday and Friday nights.

And if Crowned is doing so bad, how do you think even worse Farmer Wants a Wife will do?

Especially the first season, and even the second season The Apprentice was a great show. Then all of the tasks became tied to corporations and were just giant advertisements. I still liked the show last season, but I agree with you x, the tent shenanigans were ridiculous. And George and Carolyn were so much better than his kids. Especially his son. He is awful on the show. Although I will watch it, I think the celebrity edition will put the final nail in the coffin.

And quite frankly I am shocked that ABC is playing these silly games with NBC. Are they really that nervous that The Apprentice will do well, especially given its awful numbers last year?

Yes. Finally someone else who sees that. The timing was just way off on this one and having both editions on at the same time was its downfall. If they had introduced it this season after the Donald version ran its course, it would have done much better. Martha did a decent job and I liked her little notes at the end.

Dear Jane,

Thanks for applying. We enjoyed your enthusiasm for the position, but you just weren't a good fit. Good luck with your future endeavors.

Sincerely, Martha.

The casting was also pretty memorable (Crazy Jim especially). Timing is everything.

PS - I say Marilu Henner wins.

PPS - Are they going to make the losing team sleep in tents outside Trump Manor. Maybe I'll watch that. -Smiler

I'm not really sure why x I liked the show so much better with Martha. If I recall, her George and Caroline (who were the real stars of the original) were not as good, but that cast was quite fun. Crazy Jim was especially fun as were the two or three moronic women that she had on it who managed to fail as team leader in each of the episodes we saw. Martha was pretty easy on them but she was just that much more believable.

Actually Supernatural (if the producer is not lying to us) well have have its last original episode on the 21st of February (barring any schedule changes).

Among those mistakes, was the big mistake of having both Martha's Apprentice and Trump's Apprentice air during the same 1/2 season. Also, when people were expecting Martha's show to have some sort of culinary or home decorating tasks, Martha just had the same corporate/advertizing tasks that Trump had.

Too much saturation led to both shows losing viewers. Then Trump fired Caroline and put in his kids and it became a real joke. But one of the best moments in the series came later in the Baseball Boardroom Massacre when Trump fired 4 contestants, leading to a very crowded and silent cab ride.

So it will be all repeats in January? Sounds kind of dumb to me, especially with Lost on the way. Why not air them against virtually nothing in Janaury?

I agree. They just as well have rested the Trump version that fall and gone with Martha.
