Yeah he's a bit of a dreamer.

By the way, do you think that NBC possibly will be airing the unaired episodes of The Book of Daniel?

He is the Saint of poorly rated series around here. He is even hoping that with the strike, that NBC (or one of the other nets) will NOW run the unaired episodes of a show that was cancelled 3 years ago.

Just hours after ABC shifted a new Grey's to the 10th, NBC has moved The Apprentice premiere back to the 3rd, ROFL!

I just love how much Gossip Girls grew out of its lead in in total viewers....a whole 1,000..... Hehe, hehe. Of course it did actually grow considerable more in that damn young demo.

Sounds like you're transferring some of your endless love of One Tree Hill to Gossip Girl, mswood. Spread the love. Big Grin

I still want to know in what universe Colbert and Stewart can function without writers?

This is a good move by ABC. Fox will hurt the Apprentice during the first episode with football. Greys can then clean up during week two. Three weeks later Lost can lick up the crumbs. Wink

Really? That is funny. Ultimately, ABC isn't going to win this battle since they have only one bullet in their gun. Even if ABC manages to fire it accurately and hit The Apprentice's premiere, people watching TV Thursday night in that timeslot are more adept than anyone else at recording/timeshifting. And NBC can always encore their Apprentice Premiere again on Friday, if desired.

I wonder how both shows are going to work without writers, which they are heavily dependent on. Are they going to do extended celebrity interviews?

from broadcastingcable.com

Comedy Central’s The Daily Show With Jon Stewart and The Colbert Report are the next late night shows to announce their returns without writers. Both shows will be back on the air January 7, a week after the January 2 resumption of NBC’s late night shows hosted by Jay Leno and Conan O’Brien and ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live.

I assume expanded interviews and some on the fly political commentary (I mean voting well have hit the primary's already.

And yeah, I so love One Tree Hill (Sorry fans), but really I can't compare Gossip Girls to them, since I have never watched Gossip Girls. So I really can't base anything on my liking or disliking it.

But Those numbers are rerun levels for Mondays and typically lower then reruns on Thursday.

So Yikes.....

MyNetworkTV last night achieved a feat very rare in network television these days...an encore of a special run a few weeks back actually out-rated the original broadcast in households. In recent memory, only The Pussycat Dolls has pulled off such a feat.

The World Music Awards

original: Thurs.Nov.22/07 0.6HH/1%, 1.120 million viewers, 0.5 A18-49

encore: Wed.Dec.09/07 0.7HH/1%, 1.080 million viewers, 0.5 A18-49

This same phenomemon happened last year with the 2006 World Music Awards where the March original did such good numbers for MyNetworkTV that they encored the special with two additional encore airings in May and the summertime and the May encore airing exceeded the original.

What did everyone think of the Choirs competition show on NBC? My fiance and I watched last night and tonight. I liked most parts of it. The music was great, the choirs were talented, and the celebrities generally seemed likeable. Also, no one was trying to be a Simon or Paula wannabe that I saw. However, the attempts to "tug at the heartstrings" with these tearjerker dramas and lengthy stories of "lifelong friendships" being built got old fast. A good show overall that should be brought back around Easter time. Any other thoughts?

But Galveston, they are doing this for their crews...the behind the scenes people. This is one of the reasons I think this strike will end sooner than others think.

Peace!

I'm so depressed about the Gossip Girl ratings...Wow crowned really messing with GG ratings. I just dont get it, this show is popular, does very well on itunes (Number 1 every week and beats greys anatomy) and good in DVR ratings yet no one watches live...sigh

GG needs a show with same time of viewers (OTH) or with higher ratings to gain more viewers. True this was a christmas episode and lots of people didnt know..but that drop was too large.
There are two new episodes on Jan 2 and Jan 9 (PROMO WAS AWESOME...first good GG promo from CW which actually tells you what's going on)

Other ways CW could improve ratings
1) Need more drama...dont want another Thanksgiving episode (which was great but no drama). I seriously think that was a turning point in the ratings. Becasue after victor/victrola we had the largest rating increase and seventeen candles was great too so the ratings increased. And then we have the thanksgiivng episode with no drama and NO CHUCK....ever since then the ratings have plummeted. People were just getting excited about new triangles and then the writers just forget about them for an episode!!

2) This show is NEW...stop removing MAIN CAST MEMBERS from episodes...What's with episodes with no CHUCK or Nate????

3) CW should show better promos (like the one they showed for school ties was awesome but seriously, all the other promos never showed anything about the storyline!! Follow the CTV promos which actually tell you something!! (there's a reason that a greater proportion of canadians are watching gossip girl in a worse time slot (7PM))!!!

I'm sorry bout the long post but I really DONT want this show to be cancelled...definitely does not deserve to be...

Gossip Girl, Lost, BSG, FNL, Heroes, Grey's Anatomy, Ugly Betty, The Office

If CW tries to run Crowned three times a week now, of all things, I honestly cannot see how DO keeps her job. Sure she has other crap in the bad column, but that would have to be the biggest collosal dump of a decision to do that after the show as totally tanked.

Gossip Girl should be pair with One Tree Hill. I think it is inevitable, unless they want to continue trying it after the next cycle of ANTM, but they should put PCD Presents in that slot given the general failure of all but Thursday and Friday nights.

And if Crowned is doing so bad, how do you think even worse Farmer Wants a Wife will do?

Agreed. I loved The Apprentice in the first couple of seasons but it got old and annoying very fast after that.

In the end, I don't think it really matters if Grey's airs against it the first week or the second, it's gonna get killed sooner or later. Lost will be on 3 weeks after that anyway.

I hope ABC does keep Grey's on the 10th though.
