Why are you talking about the Central Time Zone? We saw it in primetime just like the Eastern Time Zone.
I didn't watch the game, so I don't know. I was just going off of what Marc said:

But since part of the 8 p.m. hour included The NBA Finals in the Central Time Zones,
If The Unit doesn't hold more of Cold Case's audience in the fall than it does now, might CBS consider 60 Minutes/Million Dollar Password/Amazing Race/Cold Case?

NBC likely had all 3 finished episodes to look at before deciding the order in which to air them. People expecting the third episode to be better are 'falling for it'.
What did ABC air in the 10pm timeslot Thursday night on the West coast? (I know, since Jimmy Kimmel followed the game there may be no one left that was watching ABC to answer this question).

Well the majority of the reviews I read stated that the 3rd episode, "Family Man," was way better than the first two, or at least showed much more potential. If NBC really wanted to hook audiences, they probably should have gone with the 3rd one. Because if NBC themselves believed the 3rd episode was the best out of the 3, then it wouldnt make any sense to not premiere it first.

I believe it was local programming, that's what it usually is.
