Plus there's the usual combo of True Blood, Dexter, Mad Men and Army Wives. None of which get big ratings, but added together start to pack a punch.
No, they don't. Cable ratings are a media creation (Marc not withstanding!). The only cable show during the regular season that has come close to challenging the broadcast networks for dominance is "The Sopranos." Added together, these shows probably get fewer viewers than TBS' baseball coverage.
Does anybody have the numbers for last week's SNL. I hear the ratings are up huge this season, just curious just how great they are. Last week's was pretty funny all around. Some shows are great, and some are just awful

I think the last time they tried that was when they moved Cybill and a show I don't recall cause it got quickly canceled from Mondays to Sundays and the result was pretty disastrous.
Still, it might be worth giving that another try. Not much is going to entice those 60 Minutes viewers.

I actually think Christine and Gary are slightly older skewing so perhaps Gary into Christine in that 8pm hour would work. However, with the eye likely canning Worst Week here soon, its possible that Gary will go to Mondays and then repeats of 2.5 Men could simply come to the non-NFL overrun Sundays with Christine.
Marc's favourite "underrarted show" might be the number 1 scripted show on television at the end of the seaon
Could happen--CSI is trying to mount a comeback, but there's no getting around the fact that this is the 9th season.
I think it may be safe though. It'll bring good numbers for the premiere clearly, then it'll bring good numbers with Pettersen leaving, it'll bring good numbers with Fishburn coming. At least the first half of the season will get good numbers. After that anything could happen
I have no doubt CSI will be back for the 10th season--but its reign, already interrupted by the now-fading Greys Anatomy, could be over for good if it can't convince increasingly bored former viewers to come back.

By being safe, i wanted to say it might be safe as the No 1 scripted show. Clearly it's not a problem its survival, at least for a couple of years

It is still underrated. If it wasn't underrated, the 30-second ad space sales for shows like Without a Trace and Eli Stone would not be higher than for NCIS.
Wow, that CW number should bring the CW's average down. Perhaps I should just delete Easy Money from my DVR and forget I even did DVR it. Hopefully Surviving Suburbia will be able to bring solid numbers. That is the one show I have been looking foward to from MRC. (besides Easy Money)
