Last night they did a Rev Ted Haggard "ripped from the headlines" on CI. They did the Rev Haggard "ripped from the headlines" less than two weeks ago on L&O original recipe. Does he only get one newspaper or what the h*ll is the deal?
Admittedly not many pepople watch either show anymore but doesn't he think there might be a little crossover in the audiences?? There were two different murder victims but come on...... Especially with the 2 episodes being less than 2 weeks apart. And Tom Arnold from CI last night (he played the Rev) is in no danger of getting an Emmy nod.
Stick a fork in these two shows if that is the best they can do.
Its been on four years. Shouldn't the fans already have attracted their friends?
Good point--here's another one. OTH has been watched by a lot more people than VM in its four years. It has a substantially larger pool of former viewers who could potentially be lured back. VM has given all it can--and it wasn't nearly good enough. OTH is a bad choice for renewal--but not the worst. Not even close.
Honestly, don't ask me anymore what I'd do if I were CW. I don't need those kinds of nightmares.
Right? They have such a huge programming gap to fill next year. They already got rid of Reba. Let's say they lose two Monday night comedies, GG, VM, OTH, 7th H...
That's awful. And with the way Hidden Palms has been pushed so far, it doesn't seem like the network has confidence in that either.

OTH is also planning on drastically changing its format next season. This could also lose a lot of viewers but it also could gain. The proposed change makes OTH seem like another new pilot the CW will have to launch. This all goes down to whether the CW has the budget to launch something else new. Grown up OTH could scare away all those young viewers you like to bring up.
I actually liked Hidden Palms. The adult storylines need some work. But the teen aspects were good and soapy. Very Desperate Housewives meets The O.C. I think it has potential. But apparently the CW doesn't agree.
Last night's Boston Legal episode was the best this season. Seeing Alan Shore's regret over using his 'lawyering' skills to abuse a disabled man was as good a quick charater study as I've ever seen on a David E. Kelly show.
I wish a few more people would have watched, though.
This would have been good to do before Idol showed up,instead of putting on that god awful Big Day. No,I think it serves its purpose at 10 where it has a better chance of success against the fading L&O and whatever cbs throws there. My guess is that abc will probably put Mr./Mrs. Smith on Tues. at 9 after Dancing.
