-Total Viewers:
ABC: 8.41 million, Fox: 5.36, CBS: 5.34, NBC: 3.97

-Adults 18-49:
ABC: 2.8 rating/8 share, Fox: 1.8/ 6, CBS: 1.3/ 4, NBC: 0.9/ 3

----------

Note: Any prior rating results are based on the final nationals. Since the level of DVR penetration has increased from 20 percent at this same point last year to approximately 28 percent at present, the overall results may be negatively impacted.

----------

-Saturday’s Winners:
Saturday Night Football (ABC)

-Saturday’s Losers (excluding repeats):
Crusoe (NBC) and the night overall

----------

-Ratings Breakdown:
Saturday Night Football on ABC, Oklahoma vs. Missouri on the Big 12 Football Championship, scored an easy (albeit non-spectacular) victory, with an average 8.41 million viewers and a 2.8 rating/8 share among adults 18-49 from 8-11 p.m. As a reminder, results for any live sporting event are always approximate. Since this was a typical low HUT level Saturday, you can consider this a “winning” performance.

Second overall in both total viewers and adults 18-49 was Fox care of its perennial combination of Cops (Viewers: #2, avg. 5.52 million; A18-49: #2, avg. 2.0/ 6) and America’s Most Wanted (Viewers: #2, 5.50 million; A18-49: #2, 1.9/ 6). Next was CBS’ uneventful combination of a repeat of The Unit (Viewers: #3: 4.13 million; A18-49: #3, 1.0/ 3), a repeat of Cold Case (Viewers: #3, 5.29 million; A18-49: #3, 1.1/ 3) and 48 Hours Mystery (Viewers: #1, 6.60 million; A18-49: #2, 1.6/ 5), which deserves accolades for building by double-digits out of The Unit encore.

Last, and least in every half hour was the Saturday 8 p.m. time period debut of NBC’s Crusoe (Viewers: 2.57 million; A18-49: #4, 0.5/ 1 -- both series lows), a repeat of Law & Order (Viewers: 3.57 million; A18-49: 0.8/ 2) and a repeat of Law & Order: SVU (Viewers: 5.76 million; A18-49: 1.4/ 4). When a show is relocated to Saturday, you know that’s the end. Crusoe’s performance could very well be an historical low for NBC in the Saturday 8 p.m. hour.

looks like all the college football fans were watching the Gators win before Saturday Night Football and weren't interested in that blowout. my guess is it could've been better, but these numbers are still way above my expectations considering the game was a let down.

cops and amw are what they are and that's solid saturday night performers.

the unit performed better than it did in repeats during the summer so that's cool, but under what they've been getting with the repeats on saturdays on cbs.

crusoe was a loser from day one and so is nbc this year.

come on ashton kutcher, looks like january 3 saturday ratings will be the most interesting since the olympics with the nfl wild card in there too.

Crusoe's numbers were extremely low but I don't think NBC promoted the move to Saturday once on air. So I don't think NBC expected much. L&O repeats didn't do much either.

FOX had a typical showing with Cops/AMW.

The Unit and CC repeats both rated low. CBS is on the right track with originals. With adequate promotion, it's hard to imagine Game Show In My Head rating lower.

College football did well on ABC but for being the championship game, the ratings could have been higher.

Well the game was 38-7 at half time, so the ratings are pretty good for a lopsided game. Final: 62-21.

i think its time for the Nets to give up on Repeats on Saturdays. It was working until the Writers strike, but since then, Ratings have been below expectations for the night.

NBC completely sucks and CBS is just filling hours. Original programming is really needed, even if its just Sports

I have a question. There is a new movie about the Iraqi war, which centers around an EOD unit, defusing bombs on the streets of Iraq. The name of the film is "The Hurt Locker," and it is an indie. Summit Entertaiment recently acquired the distribution rights for the film. My question is this...after distribution occurs, how long does it take for the film to hit theaters? Thanks.

Peace!!

The NBC Seattle affiliate pre-empted the entire Saturday line-up, and I have a feeling that happened elsewhere across the country (Douglas, did you see a large number of affiliate pre-empts in the metered markets?), contributing to the low numbers.

The problem is, when you say originals, NBC says- we put em on- no one watched lol. Of course, no one is watching NBC in general. Wink

If NBC can't get things turned around here in the next year or so, perhaps dropping Saturday programming will be a better option for them. I really still believe if any of the nets put a decent trio of shows on and gave them some promotion, that 8 or 9 million people would watch on average. I don't see how Saturday nights could do all that much worse than Fridays do. I think if CBS were to transplant GW, Flashpoint, and Numb3rs and gave them as much promotion, ratings would be about equal as they are on Fridays right now.

ABC Inches Up On CBS, Readying to Steal Week 11 With a Strong Sunday Finish

After six nights of Week 11, ABC tightened up the race and is poised to go ahead of CBS tonight, needing a 1.5 advantage over CBS tonight to go ahead in A18-49.

CBS is holding on to a narrow A18-49 with a 2.82 average, with ABC in second place with a 2.62 average. FOX is third, just ahead of NBC in fourth, UNI is fifth, The CW is sixth, and MyNetworkTV is seventh.

In viewers, CBS is first, ABC is second, NBC third, FOX fourth, Univision fifth, The CW sixth and MyNetworkTV seventh.

Once again, MyNetworkTV is expected to come in sixth place this week ahead of The CW once the 'WWE Smackdown' numbers are released. This will be only the second time in two and a quarter years that MyNetworkTV has come in ahead of The CW.

TNT's Leverage was basically an attempt to copy the Oceans movie series. if you like those movies, you will probably like the TV show.
