-Ratings Breakdown:
NBC was the most-watched network on this second Tuesday, while ABC and Fox were tied for first among adults 18-49. ABC opened the evening on a winning note care of summer hit Wipeout at a series-high 10.58 million viewers and a 4.0 rating/13 share among adults 18-49 from 8-9 p.m. Take a look at Wipeout’s three week track:
June 24 - Viewers: 9.98 million, A18-49: 3.7/12
July 1 – Viewers: 9.46 million, A18-49: 3.6/12
July 8 – Viewers: 10.58 million, A18-49: 4.0/13
Also in week three news was NBC’s Celebrity Family Feud (congrats, The Office!) at a respectable (and third-place) 7.49 million viewers and a 2.1/ 7 among adults 18-49. Rounding off the hour was a repeat of CBS’ NCIS (#2, 8.61 million; A18-49: #4, 1.5/ 5), Fox’s waning The Moment of Truth (Viewers: #4, 5.05 million; A18-49: #3, 1.9/ 7) and a repeat of the CW’s Beauty and the Geek (Viewers: #5, 738,000; A18-49: #5, 0.3/ 1). Too bad the CW did not order a new season of a former Mr. TV summer favorite: Amish in the City. The positive news for Celebrity Family Feud, meanwhile, was a performance slightly above one week earlier.
NBC was the most-watched network from 9-10 p.m. care of America’s Got Talent (12.40 million), which finished second behind the season-finale of Hell’s Kitchen on Fox among adults 18-49, with a 3.3/ 9. Hell’s Kitchen signed off with a healthy 8.76 million viewers (#2) and a winning 4.1/12 in the demo. Worth noting for Hell’s Kitchen was growth out of the second half of lead-in The Moment of Truth (Viewers: 5.54 million; A18-49: 2.2/ 7 at 8:30 p.m.) of 3.22 million viewers and 86 percent in the demo.
Also in the 9 p.m. hour was CBS’ 48 Hours Mystery (Viewers: #3, 7.27 million; A18-49: #4, 1.7/ 5), ABC’s I Survived a Japanese Game Show (Viewers: #4, 6.83 million; A18-49: #3, 2.8/ 8), and a repeat of the CW’s Reaper (Viewers: #5, 1.14 million; A18-49: #5, 0.4/ 1). I Survived a Japanese Game Show continues to lose a large chunk of the Wipeout lead-in.
