No, I read in several places that the GU Monday guest appearance was not just to give it a bump on Wednesday. They did it to see if it was more compatible with Two and a Half Men. It clearly got higher retention numbers, so I think they are going to make the switch. Obviously, without seeing the contract who knows ? Maybe they are allowed to move WW's time slot after initially giving it 9:30. Just remember, I predicted the GU move to Mondays. Check me on it at a later date...

CBS seems to want to make a strong comedy block elsewhere in the week. Keeping Gary and Christine paired up is one way to do that. Worst Week on Wed. would not be the way to do that. In fact, I think Worst Week has to stay on Mondays due to some contractual thingy between NBC (who produces it) and CBS. I wouldn't be surprised if NBC picks up Worst Week when CBS does finally can it. If I had to guess, Rules will simply be put behind 2.5 Men once again to perhaps prepare it for a move to another night next season.

I really think they are going to give GU the 9:30 Monday time slot, let WW die on Wednesday and then give ROE the Wednesday time slot with OC. Like I said, not what I would do, but what I think CBS will do.

The better option would be for them to move Christine and Gary together, away from Idol, to Sundays this January and put Rules on Mondays at 9:30. Of course, if they decide on Gary following 2.5 Men it wouldn't kill me any. I also think Rules and Christine would make an okay pairing for Sundays.

If Gary Unmarried has a good night on Wednesday, and I think it will have a nice rebound with DWTS out of the time slot, I think CBS will swap GU and Worst Week maybe as soon as next week.

What do you suggest they show instead? More 'sci-fi' Wrestling? Dragonsquito: The Dragoning (Sci-Fi has what, 40 movies in development for next year?)? Another Sci-Fi show retread that sucks worse than an early 80s film featuring a Queen soundtrack?
Trust me, Dr. Who isn't wasting any of the Sci-Fi channel's space.

I totally agree. I am really trying to be a good citizen here, and not get into this debate. Please, let's all drop the BBT/HIMYM debate. I think we can all agree that they are both doing terrific in their respective time slots, and let's leave it at that.

I agree. Gary will need all the help it can get against Idol. Of course, using those airings as a way to help it move to Sundays would be even better!

Well you created the debate, but you're right. We won't go there.

I'll keep that in the back of my head Miss Cleo Twins12.
That would be a good idea. Looking at the shooting schedules it appears that ROE only has a 13 episode order, so they will not need it until about February, anyway. GU could use the extra exposure.

I actually would like to see a new drama get it or if they don't have any of those, the season premiere of Friday Night Lights. Can't argue compatibility there!

Really? Last I heard it was "The Office" and the premiere of the "Office" spinoff.
If NBC is awarding the position based on merit, "The Office" deserves it, hands down.
It will be fun to see what happens. You know I am going to come here and gloat if I am right.

FNL's future is very limited on NBC. It would be a waste of a spot. I agree a new drama would be best. However, the only one they have is Kings.

I thought that Chuck as post Superbowl programming was a bad idea, but your plan to use a rerun as post-Superbowl programming is even worse.
