Womens Murder club should be picked up and put back in the place that it was doin good and thats at friday at 9pm.

Walter

Why did ABC move Women's Murder Club anyway? It was getting around 8-9 million viewers in that slot, and that's HUGE compared to Duel. I don't understand why ABC feels they need to expose the show to everyone by airing it after Grey's and after Dancing With the Stars. It already was a hit.

They need to move it back, and fast. If ABC cancels it, I think I might have to shoot someone.

Just want to clarify some points: it's watched by 3 times more people but the buzz around the show is 3 times less than for Veronica Mars, worldwide nobody knows about this show, it loses viewers from its 8pm lead-in although it has no competition, it skews old so that's a proof this "large fanbase" is just a dream of some people, it brings down CBS's line-up, will never be a hit.
So once again it may get renwed only if CBS thinks its fall projects are bad.

This final sentence is where I believe the situation sits right now.

Last night the show was in a "hold serve" position. About all it could do was show the same % of retention that led it onto the bubble to begin with.

It's obvious to me the delay in renewal and the short season ending order was to buy time to look at new projects and minimize their cost on a show they felt they might not be renewing.

How is Moonlight's Friday at 9 slot the hardest timeslot of the week? Let's look at its competition this week, a movie repeat on FOX, Dateline NBC, Duel on ABC which is heading towards cancellation and Wrestling on CW. Due to this weak competition, it makes Moonlight's drop even more alarming. It faces virtually no competition and it still can't keep the audience. Next season, it won't even be tops in its timeslot as NBC is programming Deal or No Deal Fridays at 9.

Next season, CBS has to try a new show Friday at 9. They are just wasting the advantage they have with Moonlight. It is continually pulling down the schedule and forcing Numbers to pick it up again.

Friday at 9 is probably the toughest time slot of the week. It has been proven that even GW's repeat at 9 got a much smaller number than when it is repeated at 8.
Moonlight is a great show, and it's refreshing to see CBS take a chance, for one, with a genre show. I'm pretty sure CBS will pick it up for another season at the same time. It is a huge success story.

You got it perfectly. I say it every week, how in the world can this show be considered a success when it loses from its 8:00 lead in, and yet it faces the least competition of any show all week. I maintain, if the other networks ever decide to program against it the show will be done.

There has been many shows against it incl WMC. Moonlight always came out on top
Moonlight is here to stay just because you hate the show. doesn' mean everyone hates it. If you look at itunes you will see Moonlight is a VERY popular show

And for you folks who think ML is not getting any buzz all I have to say is you must be living in a cave. Moonlight is everywhere. If you are not seeing it. You are not looking.

Yeah, is really everywhere. But maybe everywhere but the Planet Earth

Looks like the Moonlight fanclub has found this board. It is amazing how many new members have popped up supporting the show.

total eclipse, I think you are looking at Moonlight's ratings through the eyes of love , but I would like to see what the show is doing in Women 18-34 and the all important teenage girl demo. Smiler

Why is that bothering you?
Fans of AI have their animated discussion of that show after it airs. I don't hear you complain. And although I despise AI, it's their right to discuss it if they wish to, just as it's the right of Moonlight fans to discuss the show here.

You must be confusing this show with Gossip Girl. Big Grin
Or, in short: Moonlight isn't targeting teeny boppers.

Why is it upsetting you that I pointed it out? It's obvious.

Moonves should be fired only for this decision. C2H was doing very well in demos, anyway much better than Moonlight

for the 2nd time you can't compare numbers from a year ago because everyshow is down this year because of itunes and such and DVDR. C2H would have been down to and you freakin know it. Moonlight is doing very good it has lost no viewers after the strike wich proves this show has a core audience and should definetely be renewed.

Why are you shifting blame from yourself to others? You were expressing displeasure at people discussing a show they like that you don't. How would you feel if someone else tried to shut you up because they can't stand AI or any of those other shows you're into?
Live and let live!

Oh so on one hand you say Moonlight didn't drop like all the other shows after the strike but you also say C2H would've done worse than last season. It's very logical what you're saying

C2H would've beaten easily Moonlight's numbers in viewing numbers and also in demos.

BTW if it drops to 7 million next week what you'll say?
