Yes it is. I was shocked when I logged on this evening and there were already 15 pages posted. Almost seems like Fall time with all this action. It is very nice to see.
Originally posted by Naleyfanforver: At some point in thread the CW's Friday was mentioned since there does seem to be interest in SN stuff Friday nights why don't they try to move SN to lead off the night? Just an idea.
Have a great night all!!
But, you are talking about a network that has build up its cred [or in this case viewers] for almost over a century compared to a network with zero cred. What works for one network does not translate on another, take for example NBC's Inconceivable [2005] which was their version of Grey's it failed after even finishing its 13ep order. The CW moving SN to Fridays would just kill it, especially with its young fans who are more then likely out until 9/10pm.
good point :-)
(especially since I never even heard of the NBC show you mentioned)
Come on, folks. Let's all get along. We're here to talk TV and have some fun.

I would not call "ML should be renewed" "No, it should not" a lot to talk about. If anything the entire subject has gotten repetitive and hate to say it but annoying as well.
the-FRINGE.net Come, join, discuss in this action packed new series.
theGossipBlog.net Come, join, get the dirt right from the source.
I will say this...Moonlight did better than I actually thought. But not good enough to be picked up for season two.

One small point, though I'm not sure how much of an impact it would have - apparently Moonlight was listed as being a repeat last night in TV Guide. Couldn't have helped. (I can't confirm though since I live in Canada)
The ratings aren't fantastic, but given that many shows are down after the strike, and Moonlight is I believe one of the only new shows to have held almost all of it's original audience from Sept, it's at least very stable. And I do seem to have seen an inordinate amount of press pieces on this show recently - in print and on tv.
Also, I have heard it does well in paid downloads and online viewershop, which is something I believe CBS was looking for in a new show.
All in all, I think it has a decent shot at renewal. Shows like this, with a very avid fan base, have the potential to grow and create a cash flow outside of television advertising.

Moonlight isn't doing well enough for CBS. Moonlight is a product of Warner Bros. Studios. CW is losing their entire Friday night lineup (Smackdown!). CW is owned by CBS and Warner Bros.
So, do you think CW could pick up Moonlight and keep it in that same Friday timeslot with any success? I'm not suggesting it could keep 8 million viewers, but it might retain 3 or 4 million after cost cuts which would be fine for CW Friday prospects.

PIFeedback.com is becoming a place for games. Games about TV and the ratings. Here are what we have available going into the May Sweeps.
The Daily Game Each day we pick one show and you guess how many Total Viewers it will get and it's 18-49 demo rating. Accumulate Medals to see how well you can do with the other players.
The PI Feedback Challenge This game, you pick 5 shows, one from each network, that you will think will do the best over a 4 week period. Play more games and make a run for the PIFC Cup, a "season" long race for who does best in the PIFC. New Games debut on Thursdays/Fridays of each week.
The PI Feedback Challenge May Sweeps Game An extension of the PI Feedback Challenge game. For the may Sweeps, there is a new twist. Each day while using "Berman Bucks", you guess what you think the 18-49 demo ratings will be for the shows you select. The winner will be the person who has the most Berman Bucks at the end of the May Sweeps.
The 2nd Annual Lemon Awards Help us celebrate and award the WORST in TV this season. Part 1 voting is now live. Select who you think is the Worse Actor is in a Drama Series. What was the Worse Strike-Filler program? and who will win this years Lifetime Un-Achievement Award?
2007-08 Cancellation Clock Contest And, would it be okay to use this list (thanks, Obveeus) as the order of cancellation dates, using "last episode aired"? This would mean FOX's Nashville was the real first cancellation of 2007-08 because it last aired in September 2007.

In my opinion it does well enough to be renewed. not many shows crack the 10 million viewers anymore. moonlight gets 8 million on fridays and holds 90-95% of the lead ins viewers. i definetely think its worthy of renewal lets see how it does next season

I think it's too early to judge after just one episode that was also the first one after the strike (but as a vote against Moonlight, neither Ghost Whisperer nor Numb3rs experienced the kind of drop that CSI, DH and GA had when they returned. They have had 2.1 and lower than their 7.99 million this season before, but they have also had higher (2.5, 2.7).
Originally posted by robert: I don't think CBS will renew Moonlight with these numbers. But if they do it they'll have to find another time slot beacause its' clearly the weak link of their friday schedule.
What's amazing is that Moonlight does not skew much younger than C2H. BTW C2H's last episodes were close to 11 million so there may be a 3-4 million loss in the next weeks
you have no idea what you are talking about...
if C2H got 3-4 million more viewers yet the demos were the same as moonlight what does that tell you?
answer: it skews much younger...
