You are correct. A link to this thread was posted on a few Moonlight fans forums.

I'm somewhat surprised CBS hasn't tried to do something similar to COPS on Saturday nights. They could Do a EMT/Ambulance version of COPS at 9pm then go into 48 Hours.

Do a familiar game show for 8pm (Name that Tune, Jokers Wild, Tic Tac Dough, To Tell The Truth, etc).

Yes it is. I was shocked when I logged on this evening and there were already 15 pages posted. Almost seems like Fall time with all this action. It is very nice to see. Cool

Yea, I have been here since the beginning and I still get stumped, from time to time on all the different acronyms. Especially when it a show with a title like MDIBTYD (My Dad Is Better Than Your Dad).

What gets really fun is when people use BL to represent both The Biggest Loser and Boston Legal.

Welcome to the Forums!
Great Name too!

CTH was, unfortunately, airing on CBS and because they have so many successful shows, it was closest to the chopping block to make room for the few new shows they set for 2007-08.

Had CTH been on another Net, it would still be on the air.
I for one have never fully understood why CBS cancelled CTH, but maybe it was because it rated too old and never had any buzz.

As for ML - it gets okay ratings and demos, and with ratings down across the board for almost everything CBS can't know whether any new show they are cooking up now would do better - in the current viewing climate they might do much worse. At least ML has some buzz and a loyal viewer base. So I say renew it for next season and let it prove itself against whatever the other networks will be putting up against it. If it then fades away - well, at least it will have been given a fair chance.

Thank you all for the entertainment today! Big Grin

It seems like Moonlight is the Supernatural of Fridays...

wow what a crazy thread - 15 PAGES!! I checked in to see how ML (sorry to bring it up) did and sadly not as well as I hoped. as much as I personally care for the show it's not looking too good for a renewal (this will be my bubble show to watch this upfront season - there's always one for me)

GW was pretty good, there I was watching it as usual and what pops out of her covers that creepy girl (I don't know which movie creeped me out more, the gruge or the ring - that's just not normal to move like that)

At some point in thread the CW's Friday was mentioned since there does seem to be interest in SN stuff Friday nights why don't they try to move SN to lead off the night? Just an idea.

Have a great night all!!

I will say this, you may love Moonlight or you may hate Moonlight, but it does give us lots to discuss here. It is amazing the varying opinions.

But, you are talking about a network that has build up its cred [or in this case viewers] for almost over a century compared to a network with zero cred. What works for one network does not translate on another, for example NBC's Inconceivable [2005] a medical drama in the point of view from a female doctor, NBC's version of Grey's, which failed before its 13eps ordered were even filmed. The CW moving SN to Fridays would just kill it, especially since most of its fans are between the 18-49 crowd, who are more than likely out until 9/10pm. The CW just can not take any chanced until it has found a real new hit of its own, Smallville will surely not be around after next yr.

No...I don't think Moonlight should come back. CBS needs to jump-start Friday and the whole night is down. Unfortunately, the audience for Moonlight is limited.
