This could be a drinking game. Alex is shirtless - take a shot. Since I didn't watch last episode, how many times did that happen?

I hate what I call the body fetish so many of my fellow female fans are into. I think it's disgusting and disrespectful, and I wouldn't want Sophia to degrade herself so for ratings or to please any male viewers (just like I'd rather Alex not take off his shirt for the drooling female viewers). I get a lot of heat for saying that and for being against the romance on the show.
I am a female, and I am 30, but I couldn't care less for shirtless Alex or any of that. In fact, for me, it's a downright turnoff.
(and to answer your question: way too many times!)

The numbers were not bad by any stretch, but something had to be canceled.

In retrospect, you have to admit canceling C2H and replacing it by ML was still a mistake. It is not even surprising that a genre show under-performs a procedural on CBS Friday night, I don't know what they were thinking. They should have tried ML in Jericho spot instead and renewed C2H.

So it's other people's fault that you're being rude? How so? And who cares how many posts a poster made, at least they spell out their "your" and "you". As a dedicated forum lurker-reader, I appeciate it.

The mistake wasn't in what they canceled but in what new shows they chose. We'll just have to agree to disagree Wink

And now for something completely unrelated....

ABC, NBC, and Fox seem to be phoning it in on Fridays. I know that a lot of that right now is due to the strike and the lack of scripted programming.

The question is, will their fall schedules show them trying again or just giving the night up for lost like Saturday?

Edit: NBC's schedule has Crusoe, DOND, and Life on Fridays, but I'm not putting money on it staying that way.

I still can't figure out why Most Outrageous Moments originals aren't on Fridays on NBC. All these repeats is dragging down their numbers.

There is no doubt in my mind that CW will go cheap reality on Fridays to try to make up the WWE ratings. It is really their only option considering what they greenlit.

As for CBS, they have no less thanfive four sci-fi procedural pilots that would fit perfectly with Ghost Whisperer and Numbers: Eleventh Hour, Meant To Be, Mythological Ex, Exit 19 and The Mentalist. Any could do as well as Moonlight and as said before, to not take advantage of the lead in is a waste. I expect a new drama (one of those five) to be Fridays at 9, maybe two if one doesn't work.

First, welcome newcomers. Please come back and talk about more shows than just Moonlight throughout the week.
Now onto the real business:

1. This night is a joke overall but the biggest joke is ABC, which should just pull Duel for 2 hour 20/20. Perhaps encores of WMC can air at 8 in the coming weeks.
2. The CW will be in the cellar next year once Smackdown leaves.
3. CBS had a terrible night considering how the competition was downright pathetic. Moonlight doesn't deserve a renewal anymore. CBS can launch 3 new dramas easily and expand comedies by an hour and use Amazing Race in the fall. To fall in the higher HUT levels at 9 against downright pathetic competition is unacceptable. Try for a midseason 13 because that's all the more this show deserves, especially after the oodles of promotion I saw the whole week for it on CBS shows.
4. NBC's chimps are starting to get dumber than ABC's with their over dependence on the likes of Most Outrageous Moments. Why couldn't Las Vegas return for a final 6 eps this spring to take some pressure off the repeats? So dumb...

Exit 19 is sci-fi? I thought it was a crime drama centered around a woman trying to juggle family and profession....or am I thinking of another show? And I think the only "sci-fi" element of Mythological X is that the premise starts with a visit to a psychic.

If NBC stays that way, it is to use DOND as the center and to try to build shows around it. Although, the other two shows aren't compatible. What I would have done if I was NBC is expand Biggest Loser over two nights (additional hour edition on Friday), DOND, and then Lipstick Jungle to try to court the female crowd that is more likely to be home than males.

You are right. I got Castle and Exit 19 mixed up. It is a crime show, not sci fi.
