There are many people on this board who seem to comment very biasedly about Swingtown, saying its's dead, has no chance, etc., which doesn't exactly have to do with it's ratings for the week. If you don't like Swingtown, you don't have to keep saying comments like that. Just leave the show alone - I"m sure most of you who make comments like that have never even watched a single episode of it.
I swear, this is exactly why I never used to come on this forum, because of the members who come on here regularly and make fun of people who are new and who have a thought to get out.

Yes, and one of them is the guy who runs this forum, and writes a column about ratings. He started this very thread with a ratings report including a remark involving nails and coffins, you may recall.

I watched the entire pilot. I've caught bits and pieces since then. I don't hate it--I like Molly Parker a lot--I just can't seem to remember when it's on. It's simply a very forgettable show. Which will be totally forgotten in a few months.

What thought? You think Swingtown is doing well? You're one of the few. And nobody ASKED you to come post here. If you want to post, do so--if you find it unpleasant to be disagreed with, go somewhere else.
The fact that you like the show doesn't change the facts--the ratings are bad, there's very little enthusiasm out there, it's only doing as well as it is now because THERE'S NOTHING ELSE ON.
This is not a fanboard. It does not exist to comfort you. People are free to comment on the ratings in a negative way, as the forum administrator frequently does--and to comment on what they think the reasons for a show having lower or higher ratings may be.
Swingtown has low ratings, which keep getting lower, because most people don't like it. For this reason, it is very unlikely to continue.
Why is this so hard for you to hear? If you can't deal with reality, go somewhere else. I think you come here to try and change people's minds, and get frustrated when things don't go your way. And in the case of this show, they never will.
Swingtown has two unaired eps left--"Swingus Interruptus" and "Running on Empty". Either would make a fitting series finale, based on their titles.
It always hurts when a show you like doesn't catch on with the masses, but this is a forum about ratings after all. Perhaps a starting up an "I Love Swingtown Ratings Forum" is the answer for your issue.
You can't fault the folks for commenting on the Ratings as they aren't stellar (but there are worse performers out there - like Duel) - and I haven't really seen much bias except for the person who keeps claiming that Hopkins is a ratings powerhouse even though it has similar numbers to Swingtown, which he says should be canceled.
