Correct and Thursday is also perceived as "the most watched" TV day thats why the ad rates are also more higher on Thursday than other days.

I know that ad rates are higher on Thursdays, making it the most coveted night to win - because it is the closest "TV watching" night to the weekend. The theory is that people buy big ticket items on weekend (cars, appliances etc) and they go out on Fridays and Saturdays (restaurants etc) and they grocery shopping more on the weekends - So advertisers want to be fresh in their minds by buying spots on Thursday. It's why when CBS was in the dumps Les Moonves decided to go after Monday - less competiton.

Keep in mind, these are numbers from fall, so it's likely different by now, but you can piece together a pretty good picture.

This is yet another piece of the puzzle to try and win the "total viewership" crowd over, and hopefully help them realize it's not all it's cracked up to be (by Moonves).

Yeah, see how valuable those 11 mil viewers that are watching NCIS are compared to the 6 mil that are watching NBC's 30 Rock, and tell me that the demo is less significant.

As an adverter (sp? sorry I'm not an English native speaker) it is much more effective and efficient to advert during NCIS then 30 Rock. For the same amount of cost you reach/communicate to more viewers +/- 16 million and +/- 3.5 in the demo for NCIS as opposed to the +/- 6 million and +/- 2.9 demo of 30 Rock. Anyway I don't think you can compare the ad revenues of a Tuesday show to a Thursday show. Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't ad revenues also based on HUT levels and aren't the HUT levels higher on Thursday then on Tuesday?

Hi Travis, you did not post any SGA numbers all this season, how come? Frowner I know you are busy and whatnot. Their finale was worth mentioning, which had almost the same amount of viewers as the BSG Season 4 premiere. They also get much less promotion.

Well, BSG got back to S3 numbers pretty quickly.

Hopefully it won't go any lower.

Oh what am I saying, of course it will.

SGA numbers tend to start off small then rise. Razzer They were up 30% in total viewers for their 2nd half compared to the first half this past season.

Yeah, but the reason for that is that SGA fans LIKE sucky eps. I mean, why else watch SGA in the first place? Big Grin

Even so, now that they've cast a former Firefly actress, the show's days are numbered. There's suck and then there's SUCKKKKKKK.
