Wow, are these three shows old skewing. TGW seems to be losing demo lately.

I wonder what is going to happen to TGW. It's demos have been slipping over the past few weeks. If it can climb back to a 3 in the demo, it could work somewhere Monday-Thurdays but if it stays like this, I would try it on Fridays or Sunday.

CW reviving another classic Fox show?

quote:

An interesting rumor found it’s on to my table today regarding another Fox remake. What is it?

Ally McBeal. Wait, what? Let’s break it down a bit -

CW is trying to attract a young, female audience. Ally McBeal could be the perfect fit.

CW has already remade two classic Fox shows before (90210, Melrose Place). (And yes, I know they are not Fox owned shows but shows that ran on the Fox network)

CW is hurting for new shows after the failure of The Beautiful Life and (soon) Melrose Place.

The Complete Series finally arrived on DVD last month.

But who would play the ‘new’ Ally? How about someone who is sort of a star and recently guest-starred on five episodes of Gossip Girl? I won’t name names but connect the dots…

What do YOU think? Would a new version of the show work? What ever happened to Ally’s daughter from the last season? Could that…hmmm….

Ally McBeal is one of the best shows FOX ever put on the airwaves, and is in my opinion one of the greatest dramas of all time. I can't even tell you enough how much I'm enjoying my Complete Series DVD, and how I remembered just how good, just how true and real and emotionally-connected this show really is.

Please, no. The CW has gone WAYYYYYY too far this time. You cannot just revive a show like Ally McBeal. NO ONE could EVER play the role like Calista Flockheart did. Ever. If The CW were to ever revive a show like Ally, and cast someone like Hilary Duff in the role, that would truly be the nail in the coffin for The CW.

NBC's cancellation hasn't stopped "The Listener" from returning for a second year.

The Canadian-based series has scored a sophomore season pickup from Canada's CTV network and its sister sci-fi/fantasy cabler Space. Fox Intl. Channels is also onboard to carry the show internationally.

Oh... where is Dumont when you need him? Frowner

I am really so disgusted with the public who votes for dancing with the stars. The fact that one of the top dancers -- Joanna and derek got eliminated over lesser, yet more powerful fanbases -- is just sickening. This is the worst three couple finale ever and suspense free -- mya should walk away with this without any competition, joanna would have made it interesting.

What is The CW smoking? If they wanted another hit (if they ever had any), they should make another vampire show. These remakes are AWFUL!

no, they need to keep following the horrible Twilight's lead and do a Wolf themed series at the center of a romance.

I can't imagine a revival of Ally McBeal working. It's not a concept that is easy to remake.

Good thing I opted for Glee tonight then, which was meanwhile a great episode. Some great comedic moments mixed in tonight. IMO, one of the best (and funniest) of the series. I also gotta give props to Old Christine tonight - for having a very low key storyline with Christine dating Dave Foley's character, it was a good episode, while adding a big storyline twist at the end (I don't wanna give it away!). Hopefully up against a Modern Family repeat it did okay.

Not a surprise considering how terrible the first part was.

No, usually I opt to watch the ABC comedies, then watch Glee sometime online. But Glee has been excellent lately, and now I'm probably going to watch the ABC comedies online and watch Glee live. Modern Family/Cougar Town have really been losing me lately, though. The Middle, meanwhile, is turning out to be my favorite of the block - what a great little show that has turned out to be.
