Knight Rider was really good last night (i was pleasantly surprised), and I am not going to lie, at 11pm, I came out of it thinking, 'i want to see more'...

I hope it is a huge hit next year, and it is on the air for awhile.
gotta love the underdog..
I agree, it seems like some people have to hate certain shows for whatever reason.
TV should be nothing more than entertining, and for 2 hours last night, me (and I would venutre to say at least 80% of the people who watched KR) enjoyed it enough to not only keep it on, but also to probably tune in again next fall..

One year ago today, the series finale of "Reba" aired on The CW. The first part of the finale at 7:00PM got 3.40 million viewers, and at 7:30, 4.44 million viewers tuned in. Compare that to what The CW got on February 17 this year. Embarassing, huh?
Because it aired on NBC, everyone hates NBC for some reason, love to see it fail.
Oh well, we'll have to wait until next season, or even next year, they might keep it to air on Sundays after football next year, since it did well last night.
I don't mind Knight Rider coming back as a Mini-Series, from what I saw it was pretty decent. Maybe from this they and the viewers can judge for sure how invested NBC is willing to be, financially and storytelling wise.

So it is a remake. There are plenty of remakes out there. How about all the CSI's spin offs. Those are the exact show different city. Movies have great success making remakes. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, War of the Worlds, are just to name a few. Remakes are everywhere. So now TV is making remakes, if it is done correctly, it will be a success. You can't hate it because it was a remake. I wasn't around when they first aired it in the 80's, or I was a baby. Different generations think its new to them.
Survivor was renewed for a 17th and 18th season. Who cares if numbers are getting smaller? 13 million viewers is still a good number for any show. Now if it gets below 10, then they might cancel it, but until then.
I think it depends more on the show and its concept. Take a look at "Star Trek: The Next Generation". Now there was a remake (or sequel) that was done right. "Knight Rider" was a show whose reruns wasn't really exposed much - it went into off-net syndication in 1986 - in both hour and half-hour versions, but "Knight Rider" was mostly regulated to low-rent independent stations, like the old Channel 66 here, where exposure was quite limited (particularly when the station's average share was only a 1.) MCA was more focused on selling "Magnum, P.I." at the time, which aired on larger independent and network affiliated stations ("Magnum" also premiered in syndication in '86.) "Knight Rider" doesn't have the vast fan base "Star Trek" has, so I don't know if its the right choice. Maybe a remake of "Magnum" would have been better?

CBS will keep Survivor as long as its one of its strongest shows, but based on the trends, I see it ending after season 20.
TAR might end around the same time, as well.

Yes. Quite embarrassing.
Haha, The CW is so stupid.

I think Survivor should end after season 20 by bringing all of the winners back to see who the BIG WINNER is. What do you think?
First, Off. Its nice to be back, but wish I was STILL on Vacation.
Thank You to tvfan300 for keeping up the individual Series Ratings charts. It would have been a bear traying to catchup a weeks worth of ratings.
Thank You to exmalibu for posting the Daily Game results for me. You did a great job!
Thank you to the end of the Writers Strike. It will be nice to have new episodes to some of my favorite series.
That being said, It was nice to see that BBT was on this list of 11 shows being renewed for next season. Interesting though that only BBT and 2.5 Men are on this original list. I guess RUles, Old Christine and HIMYM are still in the evaluation phase.

I'm not a BB fan or viewer, but aren't the first few early episodes usually a little weaker in the ratings than those airing later in the season?
If its getting 6-8 million an episode, then that should bump up to 8-10 million by March, I would think.
I agree that HIMYM and Old Christine may be fighting for the same spot on the 2008-09 schedule. Both are about equaly when it comes to ratings. March & April will be put-up or shut-up for both shows.

If this cast had been in the normal summer slot, we'd probably be talking about how the show has rebounded ratingswise. The problem is again, CBS really doesn't have anything to work with until they get their shows back up to speed for new episodes, which will be at least 6-8 weeks, and you can only show so many CSI:Wherever reruns.
and speaking of the CBS renewals, do you think Old Christine and HIMYM are fighting for one renewal spot perhaps? BBT got picked up already.
