Looking at the CBS schedule for the next couple of weeks it is interesting that BBT and HIMYM are scheduled to be on Thursdays at 8:00 (in repeats) in addition to their regular Monday time slot. It looks like CBS is giving these two that 8:00 Thursday time slot, at least for a time, which may help them get sampled by some people who do not watch them on Monday, but have time on Thursday.
Farmer Wants a Wife...welcome to no hope of return after dropping 3 million viewers from the end of ANTM.
Nice rebound for ANTM, sad it had to be in the finale.
I like both Back 2 You and Til Death. I would have kept both.
Game shows may have reached a saturation point and as each new one is added, the genre will begin to die. Reality is already there, thank god, I just want it to die faster.

I'm glad L&O was renewed, but I'm unhappy about yet another decline in the numbers. I actually think the writing improved this year, not to mention a huge improvement cast wise, esp now, with Jesse L. Martin gone and Anthony Anderson in.
Don't think BL fans will be too happy with a 2.2 in the demo, considering it failed to build from it's lead-in.
Does it really matter if they're happy? ABC picked it up for 13 episodes and is going to end it after that. What matter the show's ratings?
Once again, as for Lost. It does matter with what kind of numbers BL goes away. Not as much as when the show was on the bubble but i don't think BL fans will be happy seeing their show go away with horrible numbers.
Yeah that was kind of my point -- true, diehard fans of a program want their show to do WELL in the ratings, even if they know it's been renewed and/or not coming back.

Why are people upset about BL getting a 2.2? That is up from it's last airing.
L&O went down another .2 in the demo and slightly in viewers. Is it just because now it actually has competition or did the loss of Jesse Martin upset people?
CBS needs to replace TPIR fast! It worked on Friday during the strike, but is obviously not regular season material.
Hmmm...and FOX decided to keep 'Til Death and dump Back To You. It seems like TD has been below average with it's audience. At least BTY had some potential to grow.
I think the difference in ratings has to do with the Idol pre-tune in factor.
I think the difference is 8pm HUT levels vs. 8:30pm HUT levels and I think FOX was foolish not to put the show they renewed into the higher HUT spot.
I want BL to do well but it doesn't matter because the show is ending regardless of ratings. It could get 10 million viewers a week and go out on a high but its still ending.

It looks like the ANTM fans aren't sticking around for Farmer at all. That reinforces the idea that CW was wise to put the new Tyra project on after ANTM in the Fall.

True diehard fans of a show don't need other people's approval to reinforce the belief that it is ok to watch a show.

Well, it may and it may not. Back to You is not a family show like American Idol. I doubt parents would sit through "Chuck and Kelly doin' it again" with their kids. Last night's episode was quite funny but it was more suitable to air at 9 or 9: 30.
Looking at the new CBS shows, Harper's Island looks great. It's like Agatha Christie meets Friday the 13th. I'm surprised that this show is on CBS, it does not look like a CBS show at all, I mean the cinematography in the preview is radically different from any CBS show. This looks like a Showtime or NBC show. Hopefully CBS will handle it properly. Harper's Island along with Fringe are one of the few rays of quality in what otherwise looks like a very disappointing crop of new shows.
Stylista actually looks very good. I could see it doing better numbers than ANTM assuming that Tyra leaves her platforms at home.

Agree with you Diva. When FOX burned their last episodes of BTY and TD after AI right when the strike ended, BTY had more viewers than TD. I just think that maybe the show is a CBS show, as much as I hate to admit it, but it deserves to be on television next year. I think the strike may have hurt it a little with a couple cast changes but the potential was definately there.
