-Ratings Breakdown:
Mirroring one week early, CBS was the most-watched network and the CW No. 1 among adults 18-49 on this lackluster Friday. Last, and very least, was Fox.
A repeat of CBS’ Ghost Whisperer won the 8 p.m. hour, with 4.95 million viewers and a 1.3 rating/5 share among adults 18-49. Also in the time period was a repeat of NBC’s 1 vs. 100 (Viewers: #2, 4.53 million; A18-49: #4t, 1.0/ 4), the first hour of the CW’s Friday Night Smackdown! (Viewers: #3, 3.63 million; A18-49: #2, 1.1/ 5), a repeat of Fox’s Bones (Viewers: #4, 3.47 million; A18-49: #4t, 1.0/ 4), and two repeat episodes of ABC’s canceled George Lopez (Viewers: #5, avg. 3.06 million; A18-49: #2t, 1.1/ 4). Overall, Friday Night Smackdown! averaged 4.19 million viewers and a 1.4/ 5 in the demo from 8-10 p.m. Once NBC’s The Singing Bee concludes, I hope we will be seeing original episodes of my favorite game show, 1 vs. 100.
The return of CBS’ Jericho, also a repeat, was the most-watched show at 9 p.m., with 4.74 million viewers -- 210,000 behind the encore of lead-in Ghost Whisperer. Demographically, Jericho was second among adults 18-49, with a 1.1/ 4. The CW’s aforementioned Friday Night Smackdown! won the hour in the demo, with a 1.6/ 6. Also airing from 9-10 p.m. were a repeat of NBC’s Las Vegas (Viewers: #3, 3.60 million; A18-49: #3, 0.9/ 4), which is hoping to benefit by the addition of Tom Selleck next season, another burn-off episode of canceled Fox drama Standoff (Viewers: #4, 2.99 million; A18-49: #5, 0.7/ 2), and ABC Family drama Kyle XY on ABC (Viewers: #5, 2.66 million; A18-49: #4, 0.8/ 3).
ABC’s veteran 20/20 won the 10 p.m. hour, with 5.93 million viewers and a 1.5/ 6 among adults 18-49. Next was a repeat of CBS’ Numb3rs (Viewers: #2, 5.88 million; A18-49: #2, 1.4/ 5), followed by a repeat of NBC’s Law & Order: Criminal Intent (Viewers: #3, 4.70 million; A18-49: #3, 1.2/ 4), which heads to USA Network next season.
