Wow--I'm pleasantly surprised that ABC really beat CBS and the Country Music Awards. Thought it would be much closer than it was. What's up with Idol?? Way down in the numbers. Boston Legal went up slightly and DWTS still a powerhouse even though it does skew older. Good stuff.
Good God, the CW is paying for Veronica Mars, yet even some encores could do better than 2.24 million. They shouldn't be paying for a series that is dragging down weekly average...repeats should be doing that.
HOW HARD IS IT TO UNDERSTAND? PUT VERONICA MARS OUT OF ITS MISERY!

Well, if Rob Thomas would have used some explosive opening scenes over the past few weeks the ratings might me better...remember the first arc-finale back in November? VM perked up from below 3 million viewers to 3.5 million just because Veronica could be seen bleeding in front of a door...but as of now it's definitely over.
House (9.2/23) did beat Idol (8.9/25) in the 18-49 rating, but not the share. And that's probably because there's really nothing else for young people to watch on Tuesdays at 9. DWTS, LO:CI, CM Awards and VM are all shows that have next-to-no buzz among MOST young people.

Considering Gilmore Girls has had MASSIVE amounts of critical acclaim and advertisement over its 7 year run - there's even 2 billboards on Interstate 90 here in Massachusetts for it still - 4.75 million for a series finale is a huge blow... Especially when you figure that the equally (or less) promoted "series finale" of 7th Heaven last spring (all they got was the back of a TV Guide cover and a few commercials) got 7.56 million. I think we can decipher which series was more successful even though those nasueating TV Guide critics never shut up about the Girls.
