Exactly my point, Ammit. Exactly. Hey, did you hear that Mark Sheppard is going to be on Supernatural? Romo Lampkin from nuBSG. He's playing a nasty Alistair psycho type demon. Sweet. I think he starts in episode 10. Maybe recurring.

LOL. Is there a show that mark Sheppard hasn't guested/recurred on recently. Since he was Badger on Firefly, I can't get away from the guy (not that I would want to, he's a great guest). He's been on Leverage, BSG, The Middleman, Dollhouse, Burn Notice, Warehouse 13, In Plain Sight...and those are only the shows I watch, he's been on others too. He also has a role on the upcoming White Collar on USA.
The thought of SPN continuing after this season makes me puke a little bit in my mouth. Has anyone ever campaigned for a show to END? I think OTH and SV will continue and SPN will be cancelled with SV being given the slot SPN is in now.
A lot of SPN fans think it would be a good idea for it to end after this season, not because it's bad but because they want it to end on a high note of quality. No one wants SPN to turn into a joke like Smallville. I sure don't. I love SPN. I believe, for creative reasons, that five seasons is best. Have you read the synopsis for episode 7? It comes off like a comedy in the preview, but it's going to be anything but. It has the potential to be extremely poignant.
A tenth season for Smallville? That's ridiculous. How long can he put off being Superman? Until he has gray hair?
There's an easy solution - there's an OFF button on your remote. You don't want a 6th season? Then do not watch it if it gets picked up. You are not enslaved to this show. You don't even know what the 6th season could be about (if it even gets picked up), you don't know what the writers could come up with but you all already know that it'll be crap. My, oh my, to have your superpowers
As far as I know, people want it to end because Kripke talked about a five-year-plan but lately, he started going back on that and talking about a new chapter that they could start. But yeah, why should the fans actually support the producer? Sheesh, silly me

I'm sure that Kripke and the CW will do as they please regardless of what a few people on this board think, so there's no need to berate others for having an opinion.

About SV, I agree it's ridiculous, but the CW doesn't have enough development.
I do want SPN to end for creative reasons. This season is great and it's tying everything together by bringing back old characters and everything. If it ends, it'll go out with a bang and it will always be one of my favourite series that i'll be able to rewatch on a collection of 5 DVD sets. Sounds perfect to me.
Now, finishing this arc that started in season 1 this season, and THEN renewing it and starting off a whole new show? NIGHTMARE! It needs to end while it's good and according to Kripke's plan. I don't want another arc to begin. It sucked on SV, it sucked on X-Files, it sucked on Buffy (after high school), it sucked on Heroes, and it'll suck here. It will never be as good at least and i'll eventually lose interest and that would suck. And the ratings are already bad this season. So WHY bring it back? To have one more pointless season? Like 7th Heavan? No thank you.
Yeah, episode 7 sounds interesting, but i'm most excited about "Changing Channels". SPN comedy style, mocking a medical drama and CSI? The Caruso impression in the preview--genius. I'm guessing the japanese game show is from that episode also. I'm enjoying it. I even liked Paris Hilton.

Better question: Why should anyone believe a TV producer on the lowest-rated network when he says he's got a gameplan for his show, when year to year he's self-evidently making it up as he goes along, and just wants the gravy train to keep chugging?
And that can refer to SPN or Smallville or really, just about any CW show. The only plan they ever have is to stay on the air as long as possible.
I’m sure the CW knew they were taking a chance breaking up the Thursday Smallville/Supernatural combo. It may not be working out that great on Thursdays, but Vampire Dairies is probably cheaper to produce then Smallville, so it probably isn’t so bad that VD isn’t bringing in as many people as Smallville did last year. VD is a new show that has potential to grow its audience, while Smallville is a nine-year-old show without much growth potential.
Supernatural has suffered without the Smallville lead in. Maybe they will move it to Fridays. At least then if both shows pull in the 2 ½ million viewers, they have a solid Friday night when it comes to the CW standards.

Is Reaper coming back mid-season again, or is it done? I thought that was more "guy geared" so why not hold onto it? Duh, it makes sense. And if they are keeping it, why does it always make such late in the year starts?
Curious, what the hell? I'm not rooting against Supernatural. I'm one of its biggest fans. If there is a sixth season, I hope it's great. I'll tune in. All I'm saying is that I'm afraid, very afraid, that a sixth season won't work. I'm not writing letters to the network begging them to cancel it.
Metal, yeah, they're riffing on "I Survived a Japanese Game Show" in "Changing Channels." There's an article linked over at TWOP about how SPN was voted Japan's favorite foreign television show. That's why it's cool they're doing this.

Reaper is done.
I love Supernatural and Smallville, but it's pretty sad the the CW can't produce more new shows that pull in more viewers.
CW may want to keep Smallville on Death Row a little longer now. Season 10 is probably still a possibility
And so is a season 6 of Supernatural

No but the ratings would sure be better. Wed. at 9pm could easily tolerate a male skewing action show like Smallville. The encores could then air on Fridays when nobody is home.

Why do so many people suggest moving Fringe to Friday? That would just be an unnecessary death sentence when we have clearly seen that it can produce high ratings in another time period than Thursday at 9.
Fringe should move to Tuesday at 9 and air behind AI again come January and then FOX can make a smarter decision for the coming fall and not air it against GA and CSI again.
BTW can anyone explain to me why The CW would air a repeat of MP on Wednesday and an original episode of Smallville on Friday instead of the other way around?
I didn't suggest anything... I merely stated that I think that's what is going through their minds. What I did suggest was that they move the comedies to Sunday.
