I think SUrvivor may have been short.....my recording was only 59 mins for some reason.

I watched Survivor, then switched to ABC for Grey's Anatomy. Ugly Betty was still on. If Ugly Betty overran, then Grey's Anatomy's numbers would be slightly underreported due to Ugly Betty. So, the question is: did Ugly Betty officially overrun its timeslot?
As to it's future, it's Emmy winning star just screwed the pooch, and don't want no more of it.
NBC, in it's eminent stupidity, is insisting that he honor his contract, whcih makes them look like kid bashers! For a show that nobody watches anyways.
You couldn't be more off on this, but I will hold off on a response unless Marc puts together a Real Time With Bill Maher folder... I'd prefer to keep the focus responding to the unwarranted 30 Rock bashing thank you.

Someone needs to watch less TV and focus more on their English class homework.

from Media Life: NBC’s Thursday night lineup fell to its lowest rating in at least two decades among adults 18-49 last night, the second time it’s done so in three weeks. It wasn’t helped by the season finale of “30 Rock,” which was the night’s third-lowest-rated show on the Big Four broadcast networks.
NBC finished third on the night with a 3.2 average rating and 8 share, according to Nielsen overnights. That was its lowest Thursday rating with all-original programming since Nielsen began using people meters in 1987. Its second lowest was two weeks ago, when it averaged a 3.3, and it’s also off from its 3.8 season-to-date average.
“Rock” was even to the previous week with a 2.4 at 9 p.m., tying its lowest Thursday outing of the season. The show has already been picked up for season two, but its ratings will have to improve for the network to continue to stay behind it.
TV viewership in general is down. Either because more people do other things besides watch tv or because there or more channels to choose from. AI is the only show that is consistently over 20 mil viewers. (Grey's and CSI are close and DH used to be.)
The best thing about ER is that it has always been on Thursdays at 10. (Which is also a problem too because I tend to fall asleep if I try to stay up and watch it.) For a show that is 14 years old getting 9.5 million viewers and with completely different cast members than day 1 is still very good. With Grey's and CSI taking 40 million viewers the hour before there is not much room for NBC at 9. I don't think NBC had ever figured out the 9:30pm slot. I have never seen 30Rock.
Hi, I just joined this forum a few minutes ago. Marc, I always look forward to reading your PI and here's now a place for me to talk about it. And Travis, I was wondering when the finals for Thursday come out? Thanks

And would that REALLY be so horrible? I mean, wouldn't that be a good thing? I mean, don't the networks run public service announcements with popular TV stars, telling people to do precisely that, go outside, smell the flowers, take a class, walk the dog? Well, maybe not so much anymore. I would imagine whoever spearheaded those PSA's probably got his ass canned by now.
