There's been a debate on which will be cancelled first PD or DSM. PD will definately stay around longer than DSM.
No there hasn't. The debate has been between DSM and Big Shots, which you so handily left out of your post. Funny that.
Gossip Girl really is following in OTH's footsteps when it comes to be hugely inconsistent. I remember OTH gaining or losing a 1/2 million viewers many times last season. It's a bit bizarre.
The CW was stubborn. They thought they could buy a hit with unreliable data and the promise of stability. Basically, they made a huge mistake.

"Pushing Daisies" vs. "Studio 60:" Did "Studio 60" ever win its time period among A18-49 (after its first week)? Because the way I look at it, both shows have gone up against an older-skewing, highly-rated franchise (Deal or No Deal and CSI Miami, respectively). One has won -- one has lost.
Well, let's look at the ratings data for Studio 60's first three weeks--here's the link to pifeedback--going way WAY back to the beginning here--
So its demo rating was almost the same as PD's in Week #3--even though it was up against the 'older-skewing' CSI Miami--which had a 5.7 in the 18-49 demo that week, and over 17 million viewers.
I'd say the advantage is Studio 60's so far.
Even though it is stone cold dead.
Studio 60 dropped over 15% in its third week, Pushing Daisies didn't even drop 5%. Where is the resemblance?
Yes, Pushing Daisies hasn't been talked about at all. Please troll somewhere else.

They were nice people. I miss them.
If I'd been here this time last year, I probably would've argued with them too. Completely different situations.
Too bad Pushing Daisies dropped more, but it has thankfully stabilized. So long as it can get back over 10 million viewers, it should be around for a while, especially with that solid A18-49 audience.
I know many had felt that DVR usage was hurting ratings, but could downloading be more significant on lowly-viewed programs (for example shows on The CW)? Gossip Girls in shown Tuesday nights in Canada and is released to the internet through torrents and the like that same evening.
Ratings for Private Practice are right where they should be, and Bionic Woman is dropping just as I expected it to.

I never said it wasn't talked about. I just haven't seen this great Pushing Daisies vs. DSM debate you seem to have been reading. I've seen PD vs. S60 and DSM vs. Big Shots. But I'm not surprised you avoided delving into that debate, because we all know your show loses in that matchup.
I dont get why people get so bent out of shape over pishers remarks. He has every right, just like you and I, to state his opinion. I personally could care less about him/her and try to avoid answering back to his comments and I suggest if you have the same problem you do the same.
DSM is dead in any context. Sorry, but the numbers show it. Please stop trolling and doing insults. It reflects negatively on you and your posts.

Ups and downs are just easier to spot with less viewers because they stick out more.... 500K drop just means 50 people didn't watch in their Nielsen home last night.
I have a feeling CBS will yank Kid Nation soon and put Power of 10 on Wednesdays at 8, at least for November sweeps. This would be a great move since NBC is pulling DOND off.
Power of 10 is a viable option I didn't consider. Of course, will Power of 10 really do better than a low 2ish in the demo against first run competition? I don't know? Maybe?
Maybe CBS will just leave KN on tto finish its run, and plug TAr or Power of 10 in for Winter/Spring?

GG is their baby. Ostroff is looking forward to it's long future on The CW (as she had stated in the press release). It will last as long as The CW is still around, which at this rate should be another year or so.
