Absolutely no week to week demo erosion for Pushing Daisies. This show is the real deal. It is within half a demo point of Private Practice which is impressive consider PP is a spinoff of the highest rated scripted show on tv

This show is the real deal? What's that suppose to mean?
What's so great about 9.8 million viewers?

And by the way you're making an error. I understand you are mad about this show but PD is 0.6 behind PP in demos. That's not within half a point. Sorry

CW Now was actually able to grab a few sponsors. Wal-Mart, Herbal Essence, Nice N Easy, Snickers were among the ones who sponsored segments on the show.

Wow. the reviews I have read online have been almost all positive. The only negatives I have seen are from people who just dont like single camera sitcoms. I personally think the show was great, considering it was the pilot episode. It is hard to get a comedy to fire on all cylinders right off the bat. I do however think the time period is weird. What happens after DWTS is over. It will kinda be left floating out there.

I'm not surprised Samantha Who did so well first week out because it was placed after DWTS and a lot of people from that show sampled it. The real test will be how well it does second week out. Viewer reviews were mixed.

This season had high hopes but where are the people? DSM and Big Shots will continue though the season but I don't see them getting another season. PD will be get to another season but will be replace. Say good bye to Kids Nation. But who is surprise that Samantha Who? acutally did so well.

My mistake about PP demo. I accidently looked at PP's fast nationals. But it's still imressive though,

What's great is its demo numbers. So far into week 3 it is the second top rated new show among 18-49 demo. It's winning its timeslot easily and it is doing so without the help of a lead-in. It is not bleeding any viewers. It's here to stay.

I agree with several other post about Networks not canceling shows. They simply do not have anything else to plug in the holes if they do cancel them. It seems all shows on every network are doing Bad. So if these new shows and old shows are doing bad compared to previous years then I guarantee American Idol will do the same. Its numbers may still be good but they are NOT gonna be what they have been in the past. I also think the network's need to be patient like they currently are and give a show a chance to GROW. That seems to be what they did back in the day. I could see if 1 network or 2 was doing BLOCKBUSTER ratings, but they are not. as for new shows I am enjoying.

Cane
Pushing Daisies
Dirty Sexy Money
Big Shots
Journeyman

and I hope all these shows make it

Pushing Daisies Wednesday 8pm ABC
Dirty Sexy Money 10pm Wednesday ABC
Big Shots 10pm Thursdays ABC
Journeyman 10pm NBC Mondays
KVille 9pm Fox MONDAYS

Since you say this, can I assume that you watched the show? If so, how was the content of 'funny videos from online' any different in nature from the stuff found on America's Funmniest Home Videos? Other than the fact that fans of that 'genre' were used to tuning in to ABC on Sunday, was there any substanative reason why one show failed miserably and the other goes on year after year?

Or are you talking about a lack of advertising for the show, because if that's the issue, it's not true here in LA.

If you didn't think the plot moved forward in significant ways, you were not paying attention at all.

Early Renewal Game / Poll Update

Today (yesterday?) came the news that "Kitchen Nightmares" became the second series to earn its back nine renewal.

For those who entered the competitive run-off, here are the standings based on the first two early renewals (Gossip Girl was the first early renewal on October 9th). There is one point for each correct back nine order, and there was also to be one bonus point awarded for the correct date of first announcement (October 9 which no one picked).

So the standings based on the first two early renewal announcements have created a five-way tie for first place:

1st place tie between:
- himymfan22 - 1
- Douglas - 1
- spotupj - 1
- welcometok-ville - 1
- xwiseguyx - 1

Over the next week, I'm sure this logjam for first place will be broken up by the expected flurry of back-nine renewal slips.

----

After 47 ballots have been cast, the network-by-network early renewal vote tablulation is as follows:

Why would WalMart want out of the deal? if you have no idea what they paid or what sort of profit sharing they have in place for the other product placements, why assume they are lodsing money? When they set up CW Now, it sounded a bit like they were following the model of Smackdown.

Roll Eyes

I guess since you can't provide accurate information to prove your assumption, this topic is dropped.

The really sad thing is that you probably do believe you have made a logical argument.
