No, a 40% drop from the 10:30 half hour from the 10pm half hour. there will still be that usual drop from the end of CSI (9:30pm) to the Begining of VL (10pm)
Being behind CSI tonight, for the premiere, it should have big numbers.
Would be fun to see it lose to Big SHots in viewers though.

There seems to be a lot of interest in the numbers for VL tonight. Would it be possible to go ahead and post the half-hours for the show tomorrow afternoon?
Thanks again,
Chris

To be fair.. not just CBS... Every new show has misfired this year.

PD didn't win the hour. Or we go again with the GG type of excuse (for ex. "GG is number one in girls 12-17")
10:00pm - 12.53 million viewers, 3.5/8 (18-49) 10:30pm - 6.98 million viewers, 2.1/6 (18-49)

i think your 10PM number is too low... A good number of people will not know WAT isn't on and even if it's bad buzz VL has buzz... I'd expect the number to be more like 14M

#1 in 18-49 and #2 in total viewers (to spell it out for ya) is not a "major disappointment".

VL is being destroyed by the critics. Here's an example
If Elvis isn't already dead, Viva Laughlin just might kill him.
or
Stay far, far, far away from this show.
I don't care what the critics are saying but for such an original show (like CBS pretends it is) those reviews are uncredibly bad. Usally the critics love bizarre shows
The viewing public hardly listens to critics. Gossip Girl, for example, got mostly positive reviews from the critics and is having trouble getting 3 million viewers. FNL and 30 Rock received great reviews and can't find an audience. VL will have lots of rubberneckers this week. How many of those will stay is the question.
