Week 3 they were basically the same in viewers and CSI: NY was a half a point better in the demo. How is WAT doing "much better"? quote: Originally posted by TV-aholic: Kind of tough to compare the two. The expectations are a lot different for the 2 nights.. Plus CSI: NY is trending Upward (about 1 million viewers of the 4 airings). WAT is trending down (Cant figure out why). CSI:NY may even beat WAT this week, desipt the bigger lead in for WAT. WAT is NOT "doing much better than CSI NY" quote: Originally posted by vlis: WAT is doing much better than CSI NY

quote: sorry, don't know what I was thinking they don't do 10:00 shows: ANTM at 7 OTH at 8 and GG at 9?
Sorry, they don't do 7 either. And to say this IS the last season of OTH is foolish. This is the CW people. they can go both ways and chances are it wouldn't make sense.

40% out of CSI sounds about right to me. quote: Originally posted by TV-aholic: Minimum of a 40% drop in the first half hour for VL. quote: Originally posted by tvfan300: quote: Originally posted by spotupj: quote: Originally posted by TV-aholic: CSI:NY may even beat WAT this week, desipt the bigger lead in for WAT.
No WAT this week, but I'd say CSI:NY has a decent shot at beating the show that is airing in WAT's timeslot this week.
I do think VL will get a nice initial sampling, of course there will probably be a substantial half-four drop.

The bottom line is this. CBS is probably not worrying too much right now about CSI NY. It's a safe bet they are worried about WAT.

I doubt it will be pulled. Big Shots will go first and, since ABC hasn't promoted it all week, the writing is on the wall. DSM will have to pick it up to last much longer, but I think it will make it to and through November.

I think VL will do very well. It will be a shocker when the numbers come out. People are very curious about this show.

It's hardly a "huge disappointment". I don't know how a freshman show winning the hour (demo) could be characterized as such. quote: Originally posted by mushu_jj: Still winning in the demo. This show is an acquired taste and is not for everyone. It should be okay. quote: Originally posted by robert: Pushing Daisies is a huge disappointment. It dipped below 10 million much qicker than i expected. Well done CM. Not that i care about the demos but in a few weeks i think CM will beat PP in demos also

They promoted Big Shots twice during PP. I've seen more promos for that show this week than Ugly Betty. BTW, whose idea was it to have James VanDer Beek guest star? Talk about a ratings turn off. quote: Originally posted by tvfan300: quote: Originally posted by nyctvdramaqueen: DSM will be axed this week or next. I will be sad, because I really adore that show. You can store change in a styrofoam cup, so ha. I'm at work bored out of my mind. I don't have anything else to do right now. You on the other hand wake up in the morning anxious to come on this forum and TRY to make yourself feel better by putting others down. Does it work?

No, a 40% drop from the 10:30 half hour from the 10pm half hour. there will still be that usual drop from the end of CSI (9:30pm) to the Begining of VL (10pm)

You are indeed correct..they have hidden the singing and just promoted it as "television's most original series".

Honestly, it's CBS we are talking about. If VL settles in the 9 to 10 million range, they will be doing the victory ratings conga line. All of their new shows have missed so far, VL is their last hope. quote: Originally posted by xwiseguyx: Ah you pessimistic people... you shall see, you shall see!
