Crime Dramas are the one genre that has stood the test of time, since the beginning of TV. Not even Sitcoms can say that (unfortunately).
Of all the Networks, CBS is the most stable. ABC is showing serious signs of weakening because of all the Soap/serial dramas. NBC fell because of the dependence on the sitcom and not being able to keep up once the Big guns started retiring

Supernatural is running out of new episodes, while Smallville has quite a few more to go. So I can understand the CW running new eps of Reaper out of new eps of SV instead of running a new ep of SV followed by a rerun of SPN.

True. And, don't get me wrong, the SPN fan in me is "miffed" that reruns of SPN aren't on the schedule somewhere. But the logical part of me, which insists on putting its two cents in, can see the logic of airing new eps of Reaper on Thursday nights. Thursdays are a big advertising night for them, and they want to stay as strong as possible there.
As for GG, the CW (and Dawn O) haven't tried to hide the fact that this show is the network's favoritest. There's no way that show isn't going to be on the schedule, even in repeats.
Trump is on Letterman tonight, but the show was taped on Wednesday. Will that stop Trump from proclaiming Celebrity Apprentice to be the #1 show on tv?
But the thing is...Supernatural does better in repeats that other shows airing new episodes. I don't get it. And Reaper does not have that many "new episodes" to air anyways. This makes no sense to me at all. Are they seriously trying to kill off SN?

According to thefutoncritic's strike watch page, SPN has 4 new eps left and Reaper has 3. Don't you think they will run their 3 new eps on Tuesdays during sweeps, not save them until they move to Thursdays? I think Reaper will be reruns after SV also, and it will tank, especially against Lost.
Sorry, call it paranoia, but I just had to ask. I would just like SN repeats to be listed on the schedule somewhere.
Peace!1

I forgot that Reaper was returning in its old slot first. So, yeah, the eps airing after SV will probably be reruns. Which throws my whole, "The CW is being very logical about this," argument out the window. Now, I'm very confused.
And I thought SPN only had 3 more new eps. But, if they do actually have 4, I'll be thrilled.
