I was making an honest observation that your attempt at namecalling childishness resulted in an unintended funny for everyone else to read.
umm... WHAT? "namecalling childishness resulted in an unintended funny" namecalling childishness? is that supposed to be a comeback, unintended funny? unintended funny what?, maybe you should check your spelling before you make fun of other people's spelling

I could point out the oddity of your claim that I critisized your spelling because I couldn't find anything to criticize about you. Was I suppose to make a joke about your haircut or something?
exactly, you had nothing to make fun of, so you chose to spellcheck the words I was saying, which is seriously low

if you can do it without the namecalling
dude do you know what "no offense" even means?

I disagree. I do not believe that FOX or NBC shows have the same dramatic dropoff between first run and repeat runs that ABC has for most of its shows.
Im sorry, so which shows on nbc or fox repeat better than shows on abc? is it chuck, journeyman, heroes, life, prisonbreak, friday night lights, las vegas, MNIE, 30 rock, scrubs, ER, til death, bones, B2Y? all these shows barely get decent ratings as it is in first run ratings
even house repeats almost as badly as greys

Advertisers pay for first run and for repeats. How can you possibly believe that the repeat performance does not matter to ABC's bottom line?
yes, I am pretty sure that if a network had a 20+, or even a 10+ million viewers that repeated very badly, they would cancel it immediately
Day or night? Maybe I'm blind, but I can't find it on TV-aholic's handy network rankings. If it aired during the day, then it doesn't apply to our conversation.

Christmas at Rockefeller Center aired in nov 28
Sorry, I thought it aired on Thursday

Dodgeball aired in nov 22
Wow! Was that ever a bad choice. I kept looking at the top of the list looking for it, not the bottom. I think that special did more harm than good.

Since the crossover included two regularly scheduled shows in their regular time, I do not consider that to be special programming.
since the crossover doesnt occur regularly, it is considered as a special event planned specifically for sweeps[/QUOTE]
A big tornado doesn't hit Wisteria Lane regularly either, that doesn't mean that that episode doesn't count for the regular average (yes, I realize that wasn't in sweeps, but the point remains). Shows always do big plot lines, special guests, returning characters, dying characters, etc. for sweeps. The crossover is just another plot line. If it makes you feel any better, I wouldn't count a crossover on ABC as a "special" either.

You need to take a look at how well shows rate during repeats. The fact that you suggest that House is almost as bad in repeats as Grey's Anatomy suggests that you really haven't looked at how poorly the ABC soaps repeat. If you need help in the right direction, look at the numbers in Friday's thread. Repeats were as follows:
Network Show Viewers A18-49
-------------------------------------------
CBS Ghost Whisperer 6.77m 1.9/ 6
FOX House 6.53m 2.3/ 7
CBS Numb3rs 6.14m 1.6/ 5
FOX Bones 5.87m 1.7/ 5
CBS Moonlight 5.09m 1.4/ 4
ABC Grey’s Anatomy 3.86m 1.0/ 3
