It would seem better for Dancing with the stars to start later -- perhaps putting samantha who first? Like American Idol, the ratings increase as the night progresses.

I guess House does need the american idol lead in -- i thought that it would do a lot better, especially given that they were given the superbowl slot this year.

The CW could've moved Chris and Aliens to Tuesday at 8 (I don't think Idol would do that much harm to them) and the Game and Girlfriends to Wed. at 9. Then B&tG could've been spared returning this season and instead been used to help out CW summers. Ditto for Farmer Wants a Wife. The two would've made a good pairing together. As of now, MNTV's movies are drawing more eyeballs than the CW Sunday comedies are likely at cheaper costs. Top Model repeats could've continued at 7pm Sundays with other encores airing at 5 and 6 Sunday.

And what day would it be? Tuesday and Wednesday have AI, and 24 will return on Monday. Thursday at 8pm leading in to one of those big new FOX sci-fi series?
I could see FOX making House work in the 8pm Thursday timeslot. Survivor is aging and Ugly betty is teetering on the edge of a cliff just begging for a massive ratings drop. Meanwhile, the NBC comedies are also on death's door.

I see House leading off Tuesdays again with Bones on Fridays leading into new dramas. PB and SCC fill Mondays with the same Wed., Thur., and Sun. lineups as last fall.

Certainly last night's increase has to help.

Trust me i am sure Bones will be here for along time

Is that an increase for Bones? The numbers look better than recent episodes off-hand. In fact those are the best numbers I can recall it for all season.

Um why is Bones on the Honorable mention when it did much better thean the past weeks.

Yeah it should definetely be in the winners list. When a show like Brothers and sisters is on the winners list sunday and it looses 30-35% of DH viewers

Well, I was just talking about what would get moved to Sundays now not how they should have started the season. If you want to get into how they should have started the season, I'm pretty sure you were the one claiming I was completely wrong to suggest that B&tG was not strong enough to anchor a night. Look at the clip and save. Also, as a side note, I was the one suggesting before this year's schedule came out that Girlfriends/The Game would be a good combo after ANTM.

Marc sees Brothers & Sisters through Mamma's Family style glasses.

If they do that FOX is just beyond stupid. to actually want to kill their 2nd best rated scripted show is just dumber then the CW could ever be

By that logic, the established show should lead off the night because SW? will have better ratings later. That's common knowledge around here. >_>

Bones has already been renewed. In fact they are presently filming episodes for season four. I am thrilled with how well Bones has been doing in its new time slot. It has gone up each week since it returned from the writers strike. I believe House and Bones make a great pair, although I don't necessarily think Bones has to be paired with House to do well---it was doing well on Mondays before House returned last night.

Bones was also one of the few shows that performed well on Fridays. When Fox canceled Jezebel James,(yippee!) they brought in Bones to do damage control, which it did immediately. Bones really is an unsung hero for Fox, and does well wherever they put it. Fox may not tout the show very much, but I think they know they've got a solid performer on their hands.

I don't know how many other shows are doing that, but I know Bones is, and I think it's a smart move on their part. Stock up as many episodes as possible. Hopefully, the SAG strike will be averted so we don't have to go through another work stoppage. Unlike the writer's strike, the SAG negotiations have been going on quietly for a while now. Neither side is talking to the media, and hopefully, we'll only hear about it when they have reached a deal.
