Breathe...Supernatural is fine. Even in the deathslot, it has been decent this season. The CW (probably) won't make a decision just because of one poor result. You would have to be consistently below the 3 million mark like another CW show that shall remain nameless.
Originally posted by galveston: I hear you. It's a shame. The episode was fantastic, but some fans aren't going to be able to deal with the fact that sweet Sam killed someone, which was apparent by the time the half hour mark rolled around. The writers didn't wuss out and have it be a nightmare or self defense. Formerly Meg used his body to murder someone. That's a little heavy for some of the "oh my God, they're so hot" teenybopper crowd. This one little girl on my board was saying she could never look at Sam in the same way.
Pshh. It's not like Sam really did it. It was all Meg. I thought it was totally awesome they brought Meg back to possess Sam. I was worried the whole time they were going to make the whole thing a nightmare, I'm so glad they didn't.
Maybe people tuned out when they saw Jo was going to be in this episode? haha. I know I felt a bit disappointed when I saw Alona Tal's name in the beginning credits. But you know, as much as I don't like her, I didn't mind her this time. Possessed!Sam was hilarious and creepy when he had her tied up. "My daddy shot your daddy in the heeead."
I could go on and on about last night's episode because I loved it so much haha
So yeah. I'm very interested in the final numbers. Here's to hoping they go up instead of down.

Hey, some of the teeny bopper girlies are freaking out. It was disturbing(ly delicious) to watch sweet puppy eyed Sam coo, "My daddy shot your daddy in the heeeeead." Padalecki was chilling. Surely Sam's goodness and virtue should have fought off the possession.
I have to say...that I loved the episode and I was pleased to see the Kripke and company did not make it a nightmare too. They pulled all of the stops with this episode. Bless him and everyone who works on the show.
And yes...I hope the ratings shot up and not down.
Pilot pickup. Check. Fall pickup for 13. Check. Write vibrant, scintillating television. Check. Get ABC's biggest Friday demo numbers. Check. Get good enough Neilsens to earn back 9. Check. Get better time-slot. Check. Show growth over predecessor. Check. Overtake Shark in the demo. Check. Overtake ER in the demo. Pending. Get second season renewal. Pending. Dominate Thursday at 10 pm. Inevitable.
Hats off to the creative team for creating the little show that could.
Men In Trees missed ER by half a demo rating point, narrowest gap yet for original vs original. While the older demos show no growth for this series, if you look up to the sky, the young ones that Madison Avenue craves are starting to grow on trees.

Put it on without a lead-in, or with a weak lead-in. Watch the ratings fall. Like TIMBERRRRRR!!!

To be fair, it wasn't Meg. It was Formerly Meg.
Oh man Galveston...that is my favorite line from last night's episode. Am I sick or what? JP did an excellent job and so did JA. Man...loved every minute of it. It opened up last night at a full running pace...and kept on right until the end of it. Wonderful.

Here’s my (probably delusional) template for a potential ABC Fall schedule. I’m assuming that What about Brian is gone, that ABC likes their scheduling of Dancing with the Stars, that Set for the Rest of Your Life (if we ever see it) doesn’t sweep the nation, and that they don’t have enough new shows to shelf Supernanny or Wife Swap.
Sunday 7:00 Supernanny 8:00 Extreme Makeover: Home Edition 9:00 Desperate Housewives 10:00 NEW DRAMA
Monday 8:00 Dancing with the Stars (Millionaire between ‘seasons’) 9:00 Brothers and Sisters 10:00 Men in Trees
Tuesday 8:00 NEW …? 9:00 Dancing with the Stars (Millionaire between ‘seasons’) 10:00 Boston Legal
Wednesday 8:00 Wife Swap 9:00 NEW …? 10:00 Lost (uninterrupted run, except for 3 weeks in December)
Thursday 8:00 Ugly Betty 9:00 Grey’s Anatomy 10:00 NEW DRAMA
Friday 8:00 America’s Funniest Home Videos 9:00 NEW COMEDIES or NEW GAME? 10:00 20/20

Peace!!
It was an excellent episode and I fear that we may get "lower" ratings again next week with the continuing arch from last nights eppy of GA and there being only 2 eppys of OC left.
