C'Mon there's too much to talk about with ABC's meltdown last night to turn today's discussion into another Anti Sarah Palin-Republican bashing thread. Thanks.

Gary and Christine aren't doing all that well but CBS needs to consider an encore of Gary this Monday post-2.5 Men.

I'm shocked Knight Rider held but people have watched stupider stuff so no surprise.

Audios Lipstick Jungle and Til Death!

Kudos to Bones, CM, and CSI:NY for standing above the sludge.

PUSHING DAISIES was beat by KNIGHT RIDER?
KNIGHT RIDER???!

No, it was beaten by the crappy Knight Rider remake, which probably won't even last a full season.

Let me say this loud and clear so ABC can hear it.

I very much doubt they can hear anything right now, over the sound of their own heartbroken sobs and agonized wails of disbelief. Hee. Big Grin

Honestly the surprise of last night was Knight Rider's numbers holding up so well!

ABC - why didn't you put repeats of last season's episodes of these shows on Wednesdays starting mid-July? It's not like you were using the timeslots of anything worthwhile. You would've reminded viewers about these shows (and their incredibly uneven first seasons, which may be why you didn't... but now you have 2.5 failed shows on your hands and very little inventory). Private Practice gets a last ditch attempt at saving after Grey's once Life on Mars fails... but the other shows are toast.

CBS - WTF Criminal Minds? Didn't that show do a 4.7 in the demo last week? I'm not pointing it out because I love the show like so many others on this board (I don't, I think it's one of the most uselessly dull and formulaic hours on broadcast TV)... but because no one is pointing out that it lost 20% of its premiere demo.

Lipstick Jungle (Viewers: 5.31 million; A18-49: 1.9/ 5). Eeker This needs to be cancelled now. Under 6 million and 2 in the demo is abysmal.

Til Death

9:00 p.m. – Viewers: 4.66 million (#4), A18-49: 1.8/ 5 (#4)
9:30 p.m. – Viewers: 3.86 million (#4), A18-49: 1.6/ 4 (#4)

Why is this still on the schedule?

Pushing Daisies was left at the starting gate, with a fourth-place 6.32 million viewers and a 2.0/ 6 among adults 18-49 from 8-9 p.m.

ABC needs to cancel this one fast. It's not going to work.

I'm amazed Knight Rider built on its first week numbers. This should provide encouragement to fans of Chuck and Life that online viewing did decrease the numbers and that they can pick up. With how NBC is performing, NBC is going to be happy with it for now.

CBS comedies on Wednesdays are doing terrible. Neither can break 7 million and both are struggling to get a 2 in the demo.

Private Practice is the only show that is going to make it past December. DSM is gone also.

Not much to say about the ABC night except it's a disappointment top to bottom.

KR and the CBS lineup both seemingly picked up some older viewers (or below 18, I guess) from Dancing but didn't get any demo boost at all. That is trouble.

Looks like another bad year for the 8pm Wednesday slot in general. Is anyone ever going to be able to capitalize on all that weaknesss?

I am still laughing over the fact that ABC is letting go of veteran, emmy-award winning Boston Legal this season. A show, which in the last 2 outings, did better than each drama on ABC's Wed night, and will no doubt do better than Life On Mars and Eli Stone.

Ouch for ABC. Great episode of Pushing Daisies and Private Practice. The former of which I had never seen before. I had to shut of Dirty Sexy Money about ten minutes in....I was bored. Sorry Lucy Lui.

Also, why does the CW insist on wasting it's post ANTM timeslot on 90210? It lost over half its audience this week and at best has only delivered about half of what ANTM pulls in from previous weeks. I realize it is an encore telecast, but come on, play some new material or try all-new 90210 after ANTM if they insist on running it after that show.

Yeah! It's not cool to bash Sarah Palin, now that EVERYBODY's doing it. Forget about her. We can leave the koop de gracey to Joe.

With those numbers, ABC is not viewing DSM as a success. The only one thing they can be happy about is PP went over a 3 in the demo. The rest was terrible.

Lipstick Jungle had a much bigger lead-in from last week and still dropped big time, and got beat by DSM which had a much weaker lead-in!

My darling Pushing Daisies. Frowner

I wish ABC had friggin' aired repeats! I bet alot of people don't even realise it's back.

I hate to say it, but bye bye Pushing Daisies! It was good while it lasted. Frowner

DSM's numbers weren't great, but could have been worse considering how the night has been over all. I believe most people will like what they saw last night and tell a friend. Wishful thinking perhaps but I really believe in this show. It's got all the makings of a true guilty pleasure. (Perhaps they need Heather Locklear to come rescue it like she did for Melrose. -Smiler)

PD needs to go ASAP, it's an embarassment. I mean Christine and GU did better without any promotion, any Emmy, and any critical praise. CBS needs to be patiant, this lineup may work very well in the enar future

Every show that didn't return after the strike is doing much much worse. PB, Heroes, ABC's lineup all are well down

If you ask me the nest thing for ABC yesterday wa DSM. 7 million is not that bad at 10pm. Not good but compared with PD and PP is better

Did you even bother to look at the demos for Old Christine and GU. I can't believe CBS could ever keep sitcoms on with 2.0 and 2.2 demos. That is just terrible by CBS standards. They actually lost demo from last week.

2.2 isn't teerible. It's not good i agree, but it's not like CBS does so well in demos anyway. CBS sees that both shows have kept the audience from last week and if wants to build a Wed sitcom hour they'll be patient.

Let's not forget this sitcom lineup it's something new on CBS, and it didn't bomb like many expected

Actually, I don't know if ABC is quite as upset over DSM as people on here seem to want them to be. The numbers are not horrid. Of course, it will not come close to CSI, but it did a whole lot better than Lipstick, and nothing else NBC airs will beat it. I think ABC will have more patience with it than even PD.

PP, I agree, will last.
