Big Shots, Carpoolers, Men in Trees, and Notes on the bubble? All four of those better be cancelled. Ugh.
I also think Boston Legal, Dance War, and Eli Stone are gone. I really hope WMC comes back, could careless about The Bachelor and Oprah but they'll probably be back.

That list looks like crap.
ABC's treatment of Boston Legal and Men in Trees is flat out awful. I wouldn't be surprised if BL does get canceled, but with so few new dramas on the way for next year, ABC may actually need it to plug a hole on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Friday.
Originally posted by vlis: so much for all the experts here who were calling for Duel on Fridays!!! I guess airing reruns of GA and DH not so bad after all.
The numbers the AFV rerun got (6+ million) show that GH/DH reruns were NOT a good choice. Duel was doomed by its makeover -- who told Mike Greenberg to imitate game show hosts from the 80s this time around -- his fake enthusiasm / screaming was disturbing, and the money latter (starting at a mere thousand dollars and maxing out at 50 grand is ridiculous). Obviously Duel is now going to be a goner -- with those numbers, it may not survive May sweeps. They should go ahead and do what I recommended several weeks ago and move the Harry Potter and Narnia theatricals from Saturdays to Fridays for May sweeps... And keep the AFV finale on Friday -- if a repeat pulled in decent ratings, the original should do (and has done) even better. Also points out exactly how well WMC was doing in that timeslot -- 9 million viewers and a decent (for Fridays) demo, and for ABC it's still "on the bubble" -- what a joke!

It's doing fine numbers-wise (over 8 mil last time a fresh installment aired) and has a strong fan following. It WILL and SHOULD be renewed. And BTW, CL will not go up against Moonlight, and Moonlight will be back on the 25th, a week after CL finishes its run.
Welcome TE! Glad to see you here pouring over the numbers like me.
Decided to watch New Amsterdam again and I can see why the ratings are spiking up. The show is very good and it is a shame its on the chopping block. It seems like a natural fit with Bones.
Looking at Friday numbers, FOX needs to change their Fridays fast. They are losing in demos to CW? That is sad.

The real number I'd like to see is how many people watched it online that day. I know that I was unable to wait until it aired on TV, so I watched it first online. I'm surprised that they plan to do this every week, but maybe they get a significant revenue from the commercials airing in the online broadcast?

Another enjoyable episode tonight. There is a certain drawback to being immortal until you find your true love. The quicker you test your immortality, the quicker you know if you have found true love. Next week's season finale should be good.

The episode was shown first on live stream; then after broadcast, available for free on the Hulu website.
Add torrents, and those rating numbers look very good considering the numerous ways to watch this show without even having SciFi.

They don't look too good compared to the ratings BSG was getting when it first appeared.
I'll say it as many times as it needs be said--the 20 ep seasons were a mistake. Not deciding in advance how long the show would run was a mistake. The Starbuck/Apollo 'ship was a Dubya-level mistake.

Would Sci-Fi have let them decide this in advance?

Fortunately, as with the new Doctor Who, the relationships don't get too much focus, and (I suspect) are mostly just window dressing to fill out the bottle episodes and satisfy blockheaded TV executives who remain convinced that you need 'ships to attract female audience members, thus boosting ratings.
(Although, in the case of the new DW, I'm a bit mortified that even Donna now seems in awe of the Doctor. She's supposed to be deflating him and smacking him upside the head. The show's characters shouldn't all be in the Doctor's thrall. Russell T. Davies needs to stop treating the main character like a rock star. Just because Davies is in love with the Doctor doesn't mean all his characters need to be, too. The Doctor isn't Starbuck, for Christ's sake.)
