As someone who came in late to the Lost game and has used the recap specials to catch up before, all I can say is WTF!? I need four words: NEW RECAP SPECIAL PLEASE! Loved this episode the most so far. Can't wait til Jan. 09!

I didn't think it was as good as last season's, but then again, last season's finale was widely regarded as the best thing to air on television in 2007. There's been some griping about the whole frozen donkey wheel, but to those I say: you bought the magenta sky event in the season 2 finale but not this?
I was totally not expected Penny and Desmond to be reunited and it truly did make me tear up.
But at some points you could really tell they were pressed for time to finish up the episode - Jack in the raft, for instance, was totally filmed afterwards with a green screen.
But still, for a cap to what was a spectacular season 4, it was a damned good episode.
What an ending? Wow....LOST is the only show that really does deliver a climatic season finale. It answered a lot of questions, and i think it pretty much answered a lot of mystery about the Island. This show is got to win some Emmy awards...The best thing on TV.
Thank you SW for the heads up on MyNetworkTV's summer sked.
There is some breaking news tonight that I've posted down on the MyNetworkTV board. Variety reports that MNT is on the verge of picking up "The Tony Rock Project", a sketch comedy-reality series for this fall on Wednesdays at 8:30 pm. The series will be from the Langley production house (Cops, Jail) and stars Mr. Tony Rock, brother of Mr. Chris Rock who produces The CW's "Everybody Hates Chris".
And what a stunning ending for Lost. I watched it live at a friends place, and then watched it again at home on the DVR. Such an imaginative direction ahead for the series.
Lost's finale was really disappointing, even worse than the first season. Everything was boring since we knew who would live and get out of the island, except for a couple of people. It really felt like a 1-hour episode had been stretched to 2-hours. 'Through the Looking Glass' was so much better.
As for the Sci-Fi "explanations" (time travel, teleportation), they were just second-hand cliche, much like Lost in general. In comparison, even 'Heroes' second season was creative genius.

Why do you watch if the show so thoroughly disappoints you on a weekly basis?
Brilliant Lost finale. John being in the coffin was a shocker. I'm just worried now that it's shown the Oceanic 6 getting off the island, alot of people will stop watching. I didn't buy the whole moving the island thing though. He spins a frozen wheel and the island moves through time? Seemed a bit silly, but the rest of it was awesome.
