I think this is a good point. Last week many were surprised that asiah epperson was sent home and she happened to be first. i wonder if that means that sayesha is in trouble tonight. Usually, we think that the first and last slot is the best to have because people will remember it more, but since we know the ratings keep going up maybe first is not good to have.

The same thing happened with Dancing with the Stars -- one of the favorites last season, Sabrina Bryan, was kicked off very early, and it happened to be on a week she was first to perform. DWTS has a similar pattern where the 1st half hour is not watched as much as the rest.

I would give Primetime: WWYD an honorable mention Marc.

I wouldn't. Boston Legal typically grew by that much if not more out of its pathetic Carpoolers lead in and never got one. Yes, I'm complaining and I'm going to continue to until someone fires the chimps in charge at ABC.

I agree. Beauty & the Geek has no business being anything other than a filler show between seasons or a summer fun show. Putting it on the regular schedule has really hurt CW.

Well what else are they supposed to air? The CW is a mess right now. The future is not looking bright. Next year, MNTV will be right on their heals if not ahead of them on some nights.

Because Marc doesn't know Spanish...yet.
BTW, if Univision subtitled their shows, they could probably add another 25-50% to their viewership almost immediately.

Idk about that. Most of their stuff looks extremely cheesy and corny.

As for JERICHO I think CBS was just angry that they were basicaly blackmailed into putting it back on the air and with so many slots to choose from with the Writers Strike they could have definatly found somewhere better than the death slot. The producers should try and shop it around to cable.

I agree. Jericho has gotten really good really quickly here again. I honestly think switching slots with Big Brother would've yielded better results overall or how about Sundays at 8? Big Brother could've moved to 10pm with Dexter airing elsewhere (like the death slot since it doesn't matter).

NO! Please do not do that. I for one would like to be surprised tonight but I do hope it turns out to be Allison or Amanda.

I don't think that CW 'killed it' except that maybe they expected it to be able to perform like 'a real show'. More than anything, I think that MTV/VH1 oversaturated the market for low-brow dating shows. Notice that CW even tried to play up the non-dating competition aspect of B&tG this season in an attempt to get away from that overused mold. When Farmer Wants a Wife comes along, they better find some way to present it as more than just another dating show as well. Otherwise, it will simply add to the failure.

Nobody who'd want it could afford it. And it would get far lower ratings on cable. It's a deader, and honestly--getting angry at a network for UNcanceling a show, and giving it a chance for some closure, is really the absolute limit.

This should be an object lesson for networks and cable channels alike--pay no attention to whiny desperate online fans who don't represent anybody but themselves. Jericho just doesn't have a large enough audience to sustain it. People found it intriguing for a few eps, then lost interest as the show lost momentum. As a miniseries, it could have worked. But in no alternate universe was it ever going to be anything more than a B-Grade potboiler.

That doesn't mean it's bad stuff. There have been a lot of cheesy shows that did well on american networks as well.

I like BL too, but looking at their ratings objectively, I come to the conclusion tha Primetime: WWYD is performing significantly better.

According to its weekly ratings trend, BL hasn't come close to a 2.8 in the demo since DWTS has stopped being its lead-in in November -- the best it's done with Carpoolers as a lead-in this year was a 2.2 in January, and before that a 2.5 in December. And even with DWTS feeding it viewers, it's only reached or passed a 2.8 three times this season. See below. So, yeah, in my view Primetime: WWYD deserves an honorable mention.
